A coach tour to Lake Mývatn from Akureyri port offers a unique opportunity to explore the stunning natural wonders of North Iceland. The journey begins at Akureyri port, where travelers board a comfortable coach for the scenic drive to Lake Mývatn.

As the coach travels through the rugged Icelandic countryside, passengers are treated to panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, cascading waterfalls, and lush green valleys. We had the most amazing day even with the bad weather. Our guide A1 was so knowledgeable and very funny. He was absolutely brilliant. Would love to do this trip again with A1(can’t remember his proper name)

This is a very comprehensive tour with a lot of worthwhile stops. Stops are of the most popular places so can be very crowded.

Absolutely excellent tour, guide and driver. I would highly recommend this tour by Saga Travel. I couldn’t fault them. Good value for money. The weather was a bonus too.

This is an excellent trip from the cruise terminal. The guide was informative, fun and the sound system on the bus and his excellent English meant that everyone could hear and understand what he was saying. The excursion was well pace with time at each place to take photos etc. No stress about getting back to the ship on time.

Comfortable coach, beautiful scenery on the way and back, love the lava formation park, hot mud/steam fissures, falls were beautiful, surprise coffee and fried cakes at the falls local hotel as part of tour, my only recommendation is for the tour company to include head netting for the annoying midges at the various sites. If not you can buy this protective covering at the first stop which is the lava formation visitors center for 8 kroner. Our tour guide Michael was terrific.
