5.00It was wonderful. Sunrise is definitely the best time to go, as the trail gets busier and hotter later in the morning. Some athletic ability is needed to traverse the last 100m of elevation gain. We started the hike at 5 am and got to the challenging portion at 7 am. Absolutely worth it.

5.00Today I went on my second tour booked through Yanature. I was really lucky to have Henri, the best guide ever, with me again. The hike up Le Morne Brabant wasn’t exactly a walk in the park, but Henri got us safely to the top. The tour was the best thing I’ve experienced on my holiday. I, who am very sensitive to heights and rather fearful, managed to overcome my apprehensions thanks to his confidence, patience, and caring support. 5.00We had the tour with Henri. He was a great guide and we always felt safe with him despite the challenging ascent and descent. However, the increase is not for the faint-hearted.

5.00Great guided tour with Rowin to the top of the mountain. Very insightful on hiking techniques and local history. Rowin was also great at chatting about life and day-to-day topic of Mauritius. The hike is technically demanding but worth the effort. Recommend having good non slippery shoes and flexible shorts.
