Discover two of the most historically rich cities in the Netherlands on this half-day private tour, with a transfer between the cities included.
In Leiden, your guide walks you through a city packed with stories: it heroically survived a Spanish siege in 1574, it is where Rembrandt was born, where the Pilgrim Fathers found refuge before sailing to America, and where the oldest university in the Netherlands was founded.
In Delft, you step into the Dutch Golden Age: canals, churches, and the stories of Vermeer and William of Orange. Walk past the leaning Old Church and the towering New Church, discover lesser-known gems like the former Dutch East India Company office, and hear the stories of the city that shaped so much of Dutch history.
The transfer between the two cities takes just 20 minutes. You can do the tour in either direction.
This is a private tour. You set the pace, and if you have any special requests or an interest in a certain topic, just let us know.

You will meet your guide in the middle of Beestenmarkt square in Leiden. This is a 5 minute walk away from Leiden Central Station. Your tour of the city starts here.

5.00Linda was the perfect guide, host and ambassador! I’ve been to Leiden several times for work and wanted to learn more about the city and its history. Linda did that and much more as I was also introduced to Delph, a short train ride from Leiden, the city with historical significance and famous for its Blue Delph ceramics. After the tour was over, I spent the rest of the afternoon exploring Delph on my own. A super bonus was we had spectacular weather. Not too hot or cold. I would highly recommend this tour and Linda!

5.00Niels was an excellent guide for the day! It was a last-minute decision on my part to take the tour so I was thankful I ended up with Niels. He was flexible with start time and very knowledgeable about the areas visited. He was great company and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
