5.00Gonzalo was amazing! He was knowledgeable and you could see how much he loved showing us the sites in his city. We would have not gotten to explore all the areas he took us to on any other tour. He was patient when we wanted to explore some of the sites where he brought us and also took pictures and videos during the tour which he sent us after. This was an excellent tour and such an enjoyable experience! It is a must do while you are in Lima.
Great way to soak in the vibe of Lima.

5.00Once in a while you come away from a tour feeling like you’ve made a friend, maybe even the type of friend you will look up next time you are in town. That’s how it was with us and Gonzalo. We found him in an unusual way… we were taking photos in Parque Kennedy when this random dude (Gonzalo) rode up on a bike and asked if we would be interested in a tour. Our normal knee-jerk reaction to such encounters is, “No, gracias” but Gonzalo was so authentic and warm that we engaged. We booked a tour right away. Gonzalo knows all the best places and hidey-holes to explore around Barranco and we loved learning about the neighborhood. We serendipitously rode up on a small wedding at Gonzalo’s favorite church and took some great footage of the attendees and the ceremony. What an unexpected treat! But honestly all the cool stuff we saw was secondary to how we were treated. Gonzalo was so attentive, so committed to keeping us safe, so dedicated to giving us great memories and so laid back that we couldn’t help feeling laid back too. We felt completely taken care of. I recommend this experience for anyone who can ride a bike and who wants a personal, well-curated tour of the coast and of Barranco. And we will be in touch with Gonzalo when we get back to Lima!
