Lisbon Cathedral
The construction of the Lisbon's Cathedral was ordered by the 1st King of Portugal in 1147 and was the 1st church in Lisbon.
Miradouro Das Portas Do Sol
This is the highest viewpoint of Alfama (the oldest neighbourhood of Lisbon). there's also a small remaining part of the original medieval wall of Lisbon and the statue of St. Vincent (the patron saint of Lisbon)

5.00Our tour with João was everything we expected from all his other excellent reviews. It was four of us and a custom 7 hour tour where he picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel (thank you!). I first learned of him through the Tauck Tours forum as THE recommendation for the day prior to our Douro land and river cruise tour. João's journeys was also recommended on Reddit and have seen his posts on Facebook. João was personable, engaging and was able to share so much of Lisbon's history with us. For people visiting Lisbon, if you did not know, it is very hilly and some very narrow streets. The advantage to a tuk tuk is you aren't walking up and down the hills (given it was a 90° day I was extra grateful), and the little tuk tuks can bring you to places to which no bus tour can venture. We also dined at a "locals only" restaurant for lunch where João translated for our meal. That day was a great introduction to Lisbon. Thank you João!

5.00We had a great experience booking a tour with Joao! We saw and learned so much but never felt like we were rushing between the sights. Joao is very knowledgeable and it is clear he loves his city and is passionate about sharing Lisbon's rich history. Joao's tour was definitely a highlight on our trip to Portugal!

5.00Joao makes the best tuktuk tours! We did a 4 hour tour and the time flies. You can tell that he enjoys telling his city stories in a fun but very informed way. Both kids and adults enjoyed this tour, our kids asked to go again.
We are repeat guests!

5.00Joao is a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned so much about Lisbon and Portugal in the hours we spent with him. We also went to Belem to see the famous monastery and try the world-famous cream cakes at Pastelaria Pasteus de Belem. Worth the trip!!

5.00We had such a wonderful tour with João, really enjoyed sightseeing around beautiful Lisbon and learning about the rich culture and history. Joao’s energy was warm, friendly and passionate throughout and it was definitely our favourite day of our holiday. Highly recommend this tour - we can’t wait to come back.

5.00Our tour with João was amazing! He is everything you want in a tour guide - knowledgeable, friendly, local, a good driver and just genuinely a very fun person to converse with. Me and my partner visited Lisbon and booked the LGBTQ+ History of Lisbon Tour and could not be happier with the result. João showed us the rich queer history of Lisbon intermixed with showing us more general historical landmarks and beautiful views. The tour felt very personal and catered to our specific interests, and it was special to see just how beautiful the queer history of Lisbon is with someone who knows the city and scene so well. I could not recommend João enough! Even if you aren't doing specifically the LGBTQ+ tour João proved to me that he'd deliver a wonderful and entertaining experience no matter which tour you book!
10/10 Recommend!

5.00We booked a tour with João’s Journey after being referred by a friend and I am so happy we did! João’s TukTuk was very comfortable and his tour was so well planned, informative, and fun! His knowledge and passion for the city is evident through his storytelling and explanations of each of the sites we visited. I absolutely recommend booking with João’s Journeys for your Lisbon adventure!
