5.00The Mabamba Swamp Shoebill and Birdwatching tour is an often overlooked gem -- it was a fantastic half-day trip, starting not far from the Entebbe international airport. A boat ride of about 50 minutes takes you to the Mabamba Swamp, which is a very beautiful and large wetlands area on the northwestern edge of Lake Victoria. Ronnie and Kenneth were my guides, and did a fantastic job!! They were very informative, personable, and fun to be with. We saw many bird species, and the highlight was observing 2 Shoebills at close range (one for more than 15 minutes). Ir was a superb trip and very unique experience. Do not miss if you are visiting Uganda, and book with Ronnie and Kenneth!! Highly recommended!!

5.00Quick and easy tour to be a part of when you are short on time. The team was very knowledgeable when I had questions about the shoebill or other birds. The boat ride across Lake Victoria and thru the swamp was super fun!

5.00If you are looking for a reliable guide in Mabamba Swamp, Ronnie is the perfect choice. He is patient, experienced, and dedicated to ensuring visitors have the best possible experience. We saw a Shoebill at close range and many beautiful birds along the way. I would definitely book another tour with Ronnie and recommend him to friends and family.
