This excursion takes you along to discover the capital of Mauritius 'Port Louis' through all its developments, of the time of the French, the English and the Indian workers until the independence in 1968.
The day starts at 08.30 a.m. and ends at 12.30 p.m.
You will visit La Citadelle(Fort Adelaine), Port-Louis Central Market, Caudan Waterfront Shopping Mall, Government House, Port-Louis Cathedral & Threatre, China Town and Aapravasi Ghat. Being the main city in Mauritius, Port Louis Central Market (also known at the Port Louis Bazaar) is the home of the largest market, where you can find fresh food items, local dishes, and various handcrafted goods that are useful to locals and serve as souvenirs for tourists. Port Louis' rightly famous central market, the center of the local economy since Victorian times, is a good place to get a feel for the everyday life of many locals. Watch the hawkers at work and buy some souvenirs. Most authentic are the wonderful fruit and vegetable sections (including herbal medicines and aphrodisiacs)

Le Caudan Waterfront offers a unique shopping, leisure and work hub, in the capital, on the water’s edge. Since its opening in 1996, it has shown undeniable know-how and expertise in commercial activities and entertainment. On top of being an undeniable must for shopping, Le Caudan Waterfront is also a business centre, a melting pot for local artists and the favourite meeting place for gastronomes, tourists and locals looking for leisure and entertainment.

5.00The cruise ship was in port for only one day, so this 4-hour tour of the city highlights was a good choice. Easy pick-up / drop-off at the cruise terminal with an excellent, knowledgeable driver. It was a private tour for 2 in a comfortable SUV with good air conditioning.

5.00My mum, Aunty, cousin, and I have had a number of transfers, a Bird Watching tour & half day city tour arranged by Conquille Bonheur during our trip to Mauritius. Our contact Nisha has been very helpful & all our drivers have been lovely to deal with & knowledgable. Easy to communicate with them via whatsapp. Have been very reliable.

5.00Had a fabulous half day tour of Port Louis with Ravind. He showed us many great sights and gave us lots of interesting information on the city. Guided us through the city streets and showed some great places to eat and buy local products. It was so much more relaxing than trying to do it on our own. Thanks heaps Ravind!

5.00I had come in contact with the company because Emirates Holdiays had chosen them as our local representative and arranged transfers and a half day tour. The vehicles they used are Audi Q3 and Hyundai Tuscon. I couldn’t believe my eyes and saw such hospitable staff that they help in carrying your luggage, give you water. Both the drivers we were allotted were so amazing and knew and have information about the city, culture that it was refreshing experience. Many wishes to them for going above and beyond. In the half day tour as well, the driver/tour guide alloyed to us not only drove us to places, but along the way gave us lots of information. He even recommend us the shops and markets and took us where it was more suitable for us which is fact that most people don’t recognise. Kudos to team and all the Persons involved. God bless you all for such hard work you do everyday to bring smiles to different people who would meet you for some hours.
