If you are looking for a guided experience of the Marlborough Wine region but also want to do a bit of exploring on your own then our half and half biking wine tour is the tour for you!

Spend a morning on our half day guided biking wine tour. Your knowledgeable and experienced guide will talk to you about the history of the area, its wines and the stories of its people. You will visit three wineries in the morning and then you are free to go at it alone for the afternoon with your bike, a wine map and some helpful pointers from the guide on where to visit.

Peddle along flat, easy terrain that is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. All morning winery tasting fees included (3).

Complementary pickup and drop-off from Blenheim and Renwick accodmation. Up to 8 people per guided tour.

E-bikes (electric bikes) are avalible as an upgrade option.

Explore Marlborough Wine Tours

Having been picked up from your accommodation you will be taken to Explore Marlborough's base at the Vines Village where you will be set up on your bike, given a helmet and a hi-viz vest. The Vines Village has restrooms, a cafe and a cellar door.

A really nice day. The morning with our guide Graham was excellent. He was a really nice man and very informative. He set us up for the afternoon when we did our own thing. I recommend this trip.

We weren’t sure what to expect, but now can thoroughly recommend this trip. Not only interesting factually, but a truly memorable fun day. Each stop was fitted into the morning leaving us plenty of time to discuss and enjoy the wines. The flat terrain made the cycling easy and the e-bikes made the ride back in the headwind doable. We were joined by another two couples and we all got on really well and I think it was more enjoyable by being such a small group. A big thank you to Rob our guide who looked after us well and for his knowledgeable and friendly chat.
Well worth it whatever the weather!

Great fun despite the constant rain. Wonderful host and guide, really friendly vineyard staff, delicious tasting sessions.

It was a fantastic experience! We had doubts about whether we would be able to receive the bikes on time due to the ferry's docking time. Here we were great advised and supported via WhatsApp. Picking up also went smoothly and the advice of the staff was extremely courteous!
A beautiful bike ride and very good wines!

Our guide Anne was really nice and friendly, and made us have a great time. She was very careful about our safety, especially when crossing roads. We stopped (among others) at the Framingham and White Heaven estate, and their wines were fabulous!! We had visited 3 estates in the morning, and in the end it was enough to discover the region and taste the wines.

Our guide, April, was knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great energy. I'm not a wine expert by any means, but she managed to keep the conversation simple for me while diving into technical details when talking to my husband, who knows a lot about wine.

It was an amazing day of riding through the vineyards! Graeme was a great guide, very relaxed and informative. They retrieved our purchased wine at end of day so we didn’t have to carry in our baskets. The winery personnel was so welcoming and informative giving us a history lesson as well as the description of their processes. Could. To have been a better day! Have lunch at St. Clair’s!

Thanks April for an informative and fun cycle tour. There were 6 of us on the morning tour. We visited 3 wineries with many wine tastings. We enjoyed cycling through the countryside.

Cycling around Marlborough is definitely the way to explore the wineries in the region. The service provided by Explore Marlborough Wine Tours is excellent, we had a pick up from our hotel from our lovely guide James. We were taken to 3 wineries during the course of our morning, where we enjoyed a variety of exceptional wines and excellent scenery on the way. The bikes were comfortable, easy to ride and in very good condition. We felt safe at all times and even when it unexpectedly poured with rain in the afternoon, the office gave us some ponchos to keep us (sort of) dry as we continued to our lunch stop (recommended by EMWT) and final winery. A brilliant day.
