Never received "skip the line" tickets, went anyway, bought tickets for $20USD, got in immediately. SCAM. This building, and the exhibits inside, though, are beautiful.

Barcelona, located in the majestic Palau Nacional on Montjuïc Hill. This museum is a real gem for art lovers, with a collection ranging from Romanesque to Catalan Modernism, offering a unique journey through the artistic history of Catalonia and beyond. The museum was founded in 1934, but the current configuration dates back to 1990, when several collections were merged to create a complete exhibition space. The Palau Nacional, built for the 1929 International Exhibition, is an impressive neoclassical building, with a prime location offering spectacular panoramic views of Barcelona. Inside we find the MNAC collection is vast and covers different periods and artistic styles: Romanesque art The Romanesque collection is one of the most important in the world, with frescoes, sculptures and liturgical objects from Pyrenean churches. The frescoes, many of which have been moved from their original locations, are displayed in a way that recreates the atmosphere of medieval churches. Gothic art Works showing the evolution of Catalan art between the 13th and 15th centuries, with paintings, sculptures and altars. Renaissance and Baroque Masterpieces by Spanish and European artists, including works by El Greco, Velázquez, Zurbarán and Rubens. Modernism and Contemporary Art A section dedicated to Catalan Modernism, with works by Antoni Gaudí, Ramon Casas, Santiago Rusiñol and other artists who defined this movement. Temporary exhibitions and a collection of 20th century photography and design. Numismatics and prints One of the richest numismatic collections in Europe, with coins and medals that tell the economic and cultural history of the region. With the Barcelona card admission is free, but you don't have access to all the rooms, but I can't say how much the entrance fee costs. But I guarantee it's worth a visit

The volume of artwork, the color and beauty of the artwork. The variety of the artists, in particular the sculptures and large historical murals were educational and moving.
