Audio tour was very helpful. Give yourself at least two hours. I loved this museum. So much information.

Prime example of progressive, far left revisionist history. It was over the top. It is a museum on slavery (and even gay rights) that sprinkles in information about the American Revolution. Do not be confused by the museum name. If you think the United States is evil and founded by racists, this is the museum for you.

There's alot to read in the museum. We were there almost 2 hours, but didn't read it all. We want to go back. Very informative about the revolution.

We were hoping for more. We are lovers of history and thought this museum should have brought out more. I bought the audio guide and unlike other audio guides it did not add anything more than what I could read on my own. Perhaps instead of the CEO being the audio guide voice maybe another historian could add to exhibits. We felt the exhibits needed more information and maps to explain the historical significance of breaking away from England. The tent that is Washington’s tent could be fleshed out more to explain what Washington used the tent more rather than who donated it. The staff were nice and friendly, with good suggestions.

Expect large groups of school age children, even in summer. Bring a light layer because it can be cold.

Very noisy with school groups. But great to see so many kids. Audio guide ran out of battery charge. Otherwise excellent display and historical rendition. Recommend!

Set aside some time. This is an amazing story of our founding. The displays are so well designed....following the beginnings through the hardships..and ultimately through to our wonderful country. Loved the focus on the unique people.

A thorough and well thought out museum enhanced by artifacts and very well done multimedia. Tastefully handled complex issues regarding the Native Americans and slaves during revolutionary times. We brought our 15, 17 and 19 year old and they were all engaged throughout. The video at the start provides a great and inspiring overview of the Revolution. We also loved the multimedia presentation with George Washington's War tent. Can't recommend this museum enough!

The museum is well done and well worth a visit. We only had an afternoon and didn’t see everything we wanted. If you are a museum type person, give it a 6 hours. The video presentations take a couple of hours alone.
