We start at the south end of the aqueduct and soon enough you are paddling across this famous feat of engineering which stands at an impressive 126ft above the Dee River. Although this style of canoeing is deemed a calm and peaceful session the look over the edge is a breathtaking sight, but with our staff on hand, there is nothing to worry about, especially with a safe footpath on the opposing side.
After this it is then a breeze down the canal, learning and developing skills across the way with some games and challenges thrown in. Our endpoint is the Sun Trevor pub which is a great location for some good quality grub and a cold drink.

5.00Our guide Emma was waiting when we arrived at the meeting point, she introduced herself and we made our way down to the canoes, safety talk and getting kitted up, Then into the canoe and off we went. Stunning area and aqueduct was amazing. At one point we got to walk around so we walked under and over the aqueduct for full experience. Then back into canoe to return to base. Emma was fab and great fun, informative about the area. She was great at looking after the wildlife, hearing the ducklings away from the canal boats, even rescuing a frog 😉. Thank you Emma for a great morning, the best canoe guide in the universe. From Niki and Angie

5.00Absolutely amazing! Ollie our guide was fab he was so chatty and made the experience so simple and easy, couldn’t recommend this activity enough. Only negative the pin drop location on where to meet was wrong so we spent a while trying to find the actual location and had to go to the bearded men adventure hub down the road as we couldn’t get a hold of anyone on the phone number provided. Once we found Ollie the experience from then was amazing and the views are beautiful, I recommend booking your session for next late afternoon as it’s less busy.

5.00On a windy/sunny/rainy day we met Olly,our guide, for our kayaking adventure. There were 12 of us in the group. A fun group of mixed ability. That didn't matter as Olly kept us all right. We paddled for about a mile before we reached the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Olly was very knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts. Some of which I think might have been true! All in all a fun day out. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

5.00Our guide was Ollie and he was excellent. Friendly, informative and gave instructions at the start to a group of guests with varied canoe experience. We saw beautiful scenery on a serene canal with wildlife and a reasonable level of barge traffic. All done with no fuss. Would greatly recommend. The aqueduct itself did not let us down.

5.00Loved our experience kayaking, Olivia our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. As a first timer I definitely would come back to try the other activities available. Glad the rain held off and we had such a fun time!

5.00Our guide Joe was excellent, very engaging with the group and entertaining to boot. The weather was a bit iffy but didn't detract from the enjoyment of the experience. The viaduct was impressive if a little chaotic to get to. Overall a very good day out. Would definitely consider doing another experience.
