Postojna Cave

Postojna Cave, the queen of all caves, is the best-known cave in the world. It is also the greatest tourist attraction in Slovenia and one of the world’s largest karst monuments. This is the only place in the world where the underground landscape can be traversed on an electric train and where you get to meet this underground kingdom’s most famous inhabitant – the proteus (olm) – up close. A fantastic web of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls, astonishing diversity of karst features, as well as easy access are certainly the main reasons for such popularity of the cave and a large number of visitors (more than 36 million of them in over 200 years).

Excellent tour with great driver and prompt pick up from the port made it easy. Loved the scenery, the castle and caves spectacular.

There was a lot of stairs and dress warm for the cave experience, but it was awesome! This was a lovely trip!

This is not a moderate activity; it is challenging. The guide was nice but was subpar based upon other Viator guides we have had on many other tours.

The bus host Andrea was a nice man. The guide in the cave was extremely hard to hear, but the cave was spectacular! The castle used audio guides in each room and was pretty amazing!

The guide Ernie was very helpful and cheerful. Ernie gave us the relevant info to give us the context to better appreciate the two amazing places (Predjama Castle and Postojna Caves) covered in this tour. The company's pick-up from Piran was very helpful too as the tour started from Koper. I'd strongly recommend Koper Trips. Very service-orientated company. Thank you.
