Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi
The Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred fig tree, or Ficus religiosa, that stands in the Mahamewna Gardens in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Not only is it the closest authentic living link to Gautama Buddha, it is also the oldest human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date and a recorded history.
Brazen Palace (Lowamahapaya) This is the site of nine-story monastic structure built in the 2nd century BC by King Dutugmunu. The structure is said to have had a refectory, assembly hall, and chapter house, as well as a roof covered in bronze tiles (hence the name "Brazen palace").

5.00A wonderful visit to Anuradhapura with Navin, a great person and an excellent guide. He adapted to our level of English, and we were laughing throughout the visit. I had doubts about booking this tour in English, but they were dispelled as soon as I met him.

5.00Navin picked us up directly at the hotel and on time, despite having to change the pickup time due to a setback with our meal. He welcomed us with 2 cold bottles of water, which were appreciated in the heat of the day. From the very first moment, it felt like traveling with a friend, sharing the history of the city, Buddhism, and even some anecdotes and jokes. We recommend getting the ticket to the UNESCO heritage area; it is definitely worth it!! We had a wonderful and unique afternoon; we cannot imagine a better way to have discovered the charm of Anuradhapura. A guide I would recommend to anyone without a doubt; he makes the day an unforgettable experience!!

5.00We had a great tour with Navin. After he picked us up in the tuktuk at the hotel he gave a lot of information about Buddhism and the city! Jokes were also present! We had a great morning with him where we were allowed to ask everything! We really recommend this to everyone!
