We will go up to 1500 meters high and to the north coast of the island, so it can be hot or cooler. Important to bring a jacket if necessary - dress appropriately

Your private tour begins with the transfer from the hotel or apartment in my Nissan Patrol GR 3.0 Luxury Get ready to be amazed by panoramic views and explore the heart of nature, while learning all about Madeira's traditions and history, always away from the typical “tourist routes”. You will have the opportunity of riding in a very relaxed safari-style tour, going to places that you just have to see! We`ll take you off the beaten track, whenever possible, through old roads & off-road, in really remote places, hidden valleys and villages lost in the mountains, so you can see the wild beauty of the island, all done in a very calm safe and relaxed way. Along our route we will stop at all the good photo opportunities, on an exciting jeep ride, enjoying various experiences, awakening all your senses.

You will have the opportunity of riding in a very relaxed safari tour, whenever possible, through old roads & off-road, all done in a very calm, safe and relaxed way, always far from the beaten track. We will move forward to the warmest and sunniest part of Madeira Island. The morning is usually spent exploring the southwestern coastline around the areas of Ribeira Brava and the picturesque village of Lugar de Baixo. We are going to travel through the old roads, close to the amazing southwestern cliffs until we start climbing from sea level to about 1600m on Bica da Cana Stopping in all the good photo opportunities, always in relaxed atmosphere, far from the beaten track.

5.00Just back from a weeks holiday in madeira. Whilst we were there we went on two private tours half day central and the full day north tour. Miguel was a very friendly guy and made the tours interesting and explained alot about the island avoiding the motorways and going off road so we would see things that we would not normally on a coach trip. The half day central tour was good and we learnt about the levadas and visited a local bar for a coffee and drink of poncha. We even watched how this was made. We also visited camera de lobos a beautiful fishing village that Winston Churchill used to visit with all the pretty streets decorated with recycled materials. And also went to the skywalk. The full day day north tour was stunning and we stopped off at many beautiful viewpoints and a church. We also stopped at an authentic house in santana and had lunch at a beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend Miguel's tours and would book again when returning to the island. Thanks

5.00Everything about our day with Miguel was excellent. From my first contact with him, and his patience with all of my questions and “asks” leading up to our private tour, I could not fault him. The actual day had been very well planned by him including a stunning à la carte lunch in a lovely restaurant with an amazing view…. Perfect for my husbands birthday! His attention to detail, and excellent English meant that we were able to ask a lot of questions and understand more than we had done on other tours. He chose some roads with beautiful views and we were able to get out and take lots of pictures. He also took a lot of pictures and composed a lovely video! The day went way beyond our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend him and we will certainly use him again. Superb!

As a local, he took us away from the masses of tourists and showed us incredible spots off the regular roads with the same — if not better — views. We learned so much about the history, culture and hidden sides of Madeira that we never would have discovered on our own. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a more authentic experience.
