5.00Ben is a phenomenal tour guide - friendly, outgoing, and highly knowledgeable. I’m a photographer and Ben was well versed in taking us to the best locations around the Isle of Skye to capture the images I was looking to create. There is so much to see on Skye and he took us to those hidden gems that everyone dreams about. Seeing original, old growth forests and stunning waterfalls was a truly singular experience. Unlike other tours with set schedules, Explore Skye listened to us and our requests and made it happen. This one-day tour exceeded all of our expectations. This was our first trip to Skye and we definitely will be coming back. When we do, Explore Skye will be who we will hire to see more of this remarkable island.

5.00The tour was excellent! The Isle of Skye is beautiful. Ben made our trip a truly memorable experience. He provided more than just the history of the island. He was very knowledgeable about the area and took us on an hike that was excellent. Our group of three said that we would remember the experience for many years to come. I would recommend booking a tour with Explore Skye and requesting Ben as your guide and include a hike as part of your tour. We enjoyed having Ben as our guide.

5.00We had a wonderful time touring Skye, largely attributable to our guide Ben, who accommodated all of our wishes of sights to see and more, by providing his knowledge of the area and the local flora and fauna. It was the best day of our trip to Scotland!

5.00Dave was our guide, such a friendly and knowledgeable guy who knew everything about the island.Very friendly and answered to all our questions. We were taken to places where you would never find without Dave. From gorgeous waterfalls to hidden pools, cliffs you could only dream of. We spent 3 days with him and every day was an adventure, with stories of the island and the most beautiful places, we couldn’t wait the day to begin on each morning. By far the best way to see the island. He has tours planned but he will take you where ever you want. So flexible and listens you what you want to see and he finds the right places. If you come to Skye, he is your man. We even got complimentary local miniature whisky bottles to take home ❤️ Also the recommendations for local lunch and dinner spots were perfect!

5.00I'd highly recommend Explore Skye, after an amazing first visit to the island in May 2026. Dave's a lovely bloke, professional, very knowledgeable about Skye, and able to bring the island to life in a way we couldn't have, if trying to check tourist boxes ourselves. More than a tour guide, nothing was too much trouble, he second-guessed issues and added lots of thoughtful little details. He was great at finding that balance between being friendly and professional, customising a packed tour without it feeling too much, or leaving us without any downtime to relax. If you're looking for a great tour guide in Skye, you can stop looking.

5.00From start to finish, everything was seamless, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. Dave was absolutely fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Skye. He made the whole experience feel personal rather than just a mother tour. His local insight really brought the island to life, and he took me to some incredible spots I would have never found on my own. The pace of the tour was perfect, and nothing felt rushed. Dave went above and beyond to make sure every minute was enjoyable, adapting the day to ensure I was able to see what I wanted to. Highly recommend!
