Built by the Knights of St. John in the mid-16th century on the strategically located island of Malta, Valletta quickly became a very important and cosmopolitan harbour city and a perfect place through which foreign culinary practices and new exciting ingredients would have been able to enter the island.
This tour is full of fascinating historical anecdotes specifically related to food and is thus very different from your normal sightseeing tour. Most of the stories will not be found in any guide book but are nonetheless a fascinating insight into the lesser-known parts of Malta’s history and culture.

5.00Such a wonderful afternoon with Alizea from Color Your World. Several food stops highlighting Maltese foods, and fantastic knowledge of Maltese history. We had plenty to eat and drink and stopped at such interesting establishments. Highly recommend!!

5.00The food was so-so. Nothing spectacular to talk about. Basically we got to try local daily sandwiches, snacks at bus station, sweets, and we also went to food court and had Maltese samples. The tour guide Giulia was excellent. She had lots of information/Malta history to share and answered our questions readily. We all liked her very much and she spent extra time with us before she had to leave. Thank you Giulia!!

5.00We had a company meeting and decided to select the food walking tour. Unfortunately for us, it was pouring rain when we started it but the guides managed it super well so the group doesn't suffer from the weather. The two guides were incredible and know Valletta very well and it's history. The food was AMAZING and the quantity was the equivalent of a dinner! I also have to thank Christine who was my contact for the organization of this tour. Quick answers, very precised and I like to work with people like this. I can recommend this tour and Coulour my Travel at 100%.

5.00Don't miss this incredible tour! Lovely personal tour of the cuisine and history of Malta. We went to the market as well as the food trucks and a historic cafe. I loved learning about the history of the food and how it originated in the country. Delicious, entertaining and fascinating. Our guide Matthew was FABULOUS and very knowledgable. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with my husband. This would be nice for kids and families too.
