Above the pretty mountain village of Mojstrana in Kranjska Gora region that is in upper Sava valley, on the wall of Grančišče, two attractive secured routes – via ferratas – call you to new experiences in this rocky kingdom. It is a great activity for all that want to try the altitude in the rock but with the safety and guided with the mountain guide from Kofler sport agency

You can choose from two different via ferratas; they have a common and very short access to the wall and entrance to the climbing routes. A good view of both routes can be had from our Kofler Sports agency. The first via ferrata- family via ferrata name is Aljaževa route and is the easier one: grade B, 180 m high and 250m long. It is suitable for familiesthose who are still novices in the rock world. The second via ferrata name Rout of Mojstrana sqirrels is more difficult: grade C/D, 180m high and 250m long. It is suitable for those who already have some experience and who want more adrenalin. This via ferrata requires skill and physical strength. Both ferratas brings us at the top of Grančišče hill from where you can see our Julian Alps and Karavanke. Path down goes on a marked route almost to our starting point. For ferratas we recomend basic mountaineering equipment – helmet, belt, self belaying system. You can rent it by us. We can guide you from 6-7 years (at least 125cm of height) and more. We pick you up from where you are staying and provide you a technical gear.

We had a great time on the via ferrata… our guide Cveto was fantastic!!! It was organised to perfection, with great communication and timing around the weather, and all the equipment we needed. What a brilliant afternoon. We are lucky to be in such a special place with amazing views. Thank you Team Kofler!!!

Had a really fun time hiking with Igor. We traveled with our 3 teens and an 8 year old. Igor was very safety conscious which made us feel we were in good hands.

Had a great time even when afraid of heights i fellt safe all tge time and had a blast the guide was awesome and was thinking with us and even gave us options because of the weather deffinetly would recommend this
Kofler Sport and via Feratta climbing

The whole experience was great! Gregor, our guide, first started with a detailed explanation of the various equipment needed to climb a via feratta route. Not only did he show us what was needed, but also why some equipment was not right for that type of climbing. Even though he spoke Slovene (I understand the language), I asked him some questions questions in English and he was able to answer... in English. During the ascent, he also spoke to me in English to make sure I understood what to do. The ascent up the mountain followed after a quick practice course and the 6 people in our group clipped on a climbed. The route had several levels of difficulty. We started easy and then tried a harder route to see what it was like. Then the more experienced/daring members of our group chose to continue on the harder sections whole the rest of us chose an easier, but not too easy route. The whole time, Gregor was attentive and making sure everyone was feeling safe and motivated while he took some pictures to share with us later. After reaching the top, we hiked back down and dipped our feet in the clear, cool and refreshing Soča river that ran by our meeting point before ending the experience. My wife and my 2 boys, 11 and 15 years old, really enjoyed the experience and I would highly recommend Gregor and Kofler Sport for your mountain adventure experience!

The beginner ferrata course was an unforgettable adventure for me and my son. Great instructor, great guidance. We got a lot of information about ferrata climbing and necessary equipment, safety and other instructions. At the end of the course we all wanted to know which ferratas are already suitable for us to go on our own.
