5.00This experience was the highlight of our trip to Samarkand. Shaxzod picked us up and brought us to his lovely home in the countryside. We chatted and chopped vegetables while his nieces and nephews played nearby and his lovely mother instructed us on how to cook the Uzbek traditional food, Plov. We had Plov a few times on our trip and this was definitely the most delicious! We all had two generous servings and lots of tea and sweets. We left with full bellies and a new wonderful memory.

5.00I highly, HIGHLY recommend doing this cooking class with Silk Nations Travel. Shakhzod and his wonderful family were extremely welcoming and we learnt so much about the food, culture and history of Uzbekistan. We got to see life in the countryside. Shakhzod was word perfect in English and the pilaf was delicious. They were also very accommodating of my pescatarian friend. This experience was one of the highlights of our Uzbekistan trip. Book it and enjoy :)
