We collect our guests at their accommodation free of charge, in Walvis bay. All other companies want you to use or find your own transport to Walvis bay. We include a light lunch and drinks.
We use new modern unsinkable Kayaks easy for anybody to use and that do not capsize. Everybody gets a life jacket and the guide will coach you on the use of the Kayak. No previous experience required.
Then we move on to the most memorable Dune Tour and your Namibia Highlight. We go where dune meets sea, harsh and desolate area constantly changing, yet quiet and relaxing, see amazing wild life, and thousand's of sea Birds in these harsh conditions. We go up towering Dunes, to the most beautiful view points, exciting dune drives with skilled and knowledgeable guides
See thousands of pink Flamingos, Pelicans in the Ramsar Walvis bay Wetland .The biggest evaporation pond Salt Mine in Africa with its pink salt waters is seen along the route.

please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show

We stop at the Flamingos and view the many beautiful birds at the Lagune.. We might see Pelicans and terns. The route takes us past the pink salt lakes of the huge Salt Mine and we learn how it works. We then turn north to Pelican point ;light house where the 50 000 seals colony is. We find a suitable spot to unload the Kayaks and then peddle into the Bay. The seals swim around the Kayaks, what an awesome experience. We serve some cool drinks and sandwiches once we are done .
Our journey takes us past the enormous Salt Mine harvesting 100000 tons per month, south along the beach to Sandwich Harbor where the Dune belt meets the sea . See the waves carve away the dunes at high tide where it sometimes becomes impossible to enter this beautiful and remote area. We go on a roller coaster dune ride up to the view point with absolute surprise to see the stunning views and the quiet desert ambiance. The huge sea of sand , the dunes, have that special kind of magic ...absolutely unique. Our knowledgeable guides will tell you about the desert area and skillfully drive you to the best spots. Adrenaline soaked dune drives , searching for animals in this desolate area , learn how the plants and animals have evolved to live in the desert. Absolutely Awesome , all of it. A must do when in Namibia.

Fantastic experience with LeCloue in Pelican Point and Sandwich Harbor

5.00I joined the Pelican Point and Sandwich Harbour tour with Sandwich Harbour Tours, and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Namibia. My guide, LeCloue, made the experience truly exceptional. He is incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything in an engaging and easy-to-understand way, from the local wildlife and history to the geology and unique ecosystem of the area. His driving skills on the dunes were outstanding. I always felt completely safe while still enjoying the excitement of driving through such an incredible landscape. He also gave excellent photography and videography advice, which helped me capture some fantastic memories. What impressed me most was his genuine respect for the environment and the wildlife. It was obvious that he cares deeply about preserving this special place, and he always ensured that the animals were treated with care and respect. LeCloue was also a wonderful host, providing delicious food and drinks throughout the day and creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. His sense of humor made the tour even more enjoyable. I expected beautiful scenery, but I honestly wasn’t expecting the experience to be this memorable. He transformed what would already have been a great excursion into something truly unforgettable. I would happily do this tour again and wholeheartedly recommend Sandwich Harbour Tours to anyone visiting Namibia.

5.00Our guide Le Clue picked us up promptly at 8 AM at our accommodation and provided us with many interesting facts about the region and Namibia during the drive to Pelican Point. The kayaking tour was perfectly organized, allowing us to have a great time with seals that frequently boarded our kayak and provided much entertainment. After a delicious snack, we continued towards the dunes. On the way there, we were able to observe some animals by the water and on the beach. The thrilling dune ride was complemented by another snack. Overall, a fantastic experience. Le Clue was able to convey the diversity of Namibia excellently through his impressive knowledge. Regardless of nature, industry, or politics... he was always well-informed. Many thanks also to Volker, who took over the paddling during the seal tour.

5.00Leclue was our guide for both the Harbour seal kayak experience as well as for the sandwich Harbour off-road dune experience. He picked us up in Swakopmund. Overall, we had a great day with him, Leclue was very knowledgeable about Namibia in general and could tell us a lot of details and historical facts about the nature and history that we were experiencing that day. Highly recommend booking the tour with Dune Desert and Dust and also look for Leclue as your guide since he is very nice.

5.00What an amazing day. We were a bit nervous with the fairly high price of doing this combination day tour, but wow it was so worth it. Our guide Le Clue was incredible, he was very professional, conversational, and honestly shared so much learning and info about what we were doing and Namibia in general. The balance with kayaking / interacting with the seals and then cruising through the dunes of sandwich harbour was great. Would and will recommend to anyone traveling to Swakop, thanks again to the amazing team at Desert Dunes and Dust.

5.00We returned home tired but extremely satisfied with the day we spent. Our guide Volker was kind, friendly, and helpful from the very beginning, and he explained a lot of interesting things to us. The kayak tour among the seals was spectacular, very exciting: we had much more fun than expected. Equally exciting was the ride on the dunes at Sandwich Harbour: adrenaline and breathtaking landscapes. The snacks and lunch also made the day enjoyable and satisfying. I confirm the other reviews of 10/10, absolutely recommended experience. Well done, Volker!

5.00Minor hiccup at the start, they forgot our pickup, but a quick call sorted it and we were on our way, though we did lose quite bit of time. From there, the day was fantastic. Kayaking with seals was genuinely unforgettable, the dune driving at Sandwich Harbour was spectacular, and our guide LeClue was both knowledgeable and great fun. Can recommend!

4.00Great experience, kayaking in the morning with sea lions, sand dunes in the afternoon. The only negative: complicated communication with the company remotely: they did not reply to an email or WhatsApp message. It’s a shame.

5.00This tour was fabulous. Kayaking with the seals was a once in a lifetime experience, very exciting when they climb on your boat to play as well. Sand dunes and scenery was first class one of the most beautiful places we have been. Then to top it all our guide LeClue was simple the best of the best. There was nothing he didn't know about Namibia and kept us entertained with facts all the way along the trip. lunch was superb supplying both meat and veggie option's. We have done many GYG trips over the years but this one was probably the best.
