Your guide will take you to beautiful locations within Red Rock State Park, including Oak Creek, the House of Apache Fires and Native American sites.
Cathedral Rock
The hike begins and ends with intimate views of Sedona’s iconic Cathedral Rock. We will also see the Thunder Mountain, the Three Sisters, Napoleon’s Tomb, Eagle’s Nest, and the Seven Warriors. Your guide will teach you how these distinctive geological features formed.

5.00What an enjoyable afternoon with tour guide Matthew Goodwin! Matthew shared a lot of interesting information about Sedona and its fascinating history as we walked the Red Rock State Park. Matthew is also a philosophy professor at a local college. We enjoyed mind stimulating conversations during our 2 hours hike which was at an easy going pace. Matthew reached out to me the day before to confirm our private hike--which was professional and comforting. I highly recommend enjoying Matthew's Sedona Philosophy hiking tour! I sure did!

Highly recommend this hike early in any visit to Sedona, as this gave us a great perspective, both physically and emotionally, on the beautiful landscape surrounding us. 5.00Our Sedona Philosophy hike was over a month ago now and I'm still telling friends and family about my experience. It was definitely a highlight of our trip and created a perspective shift that I still carry with me. Hiking with Andrea was a gift that allowed my husband and I to slow down and reconnect with each other and with the land. She shared facts about how being in nature affects the mind, body, and spirit in so many positive ways, and we were able to soak up that positivity and see things in a new light. It was the perfect combination of moderate and easy hiking; silence, deep conversation, and laughter; and we saw some of the most incredible Sedona red rock vistas from a new viewpoint. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Sedona!

5.00This was hands down one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had in Sedona. I booked a private tour not really knowing what to expect, but it ended up being so much more than just sightseeing. We explored some beautiful spots (including Doe Mountain and Boynton Canyon), but what really stood out was the depth of the experience itself. My guide took the time to slow things down — we talked about life, purpose, philosophy, and even did some meditation. It felt grounding in a way that’s hard to describe. It wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t scripted, and it didn’t feel touristy. It felt human. The photos were amazing, the locations were stunning, and the overall energy of the day was calm and restorative. I came to Sedona needing a reset, and this tour delivered exactly that. If you’re someone who values meaningful conversation, reflection, and actually feeling a place instead of just checking off landmarks, I can’t recommend this enough. Worth every dollar.

5.00We had a lovely hike with Kent. It was so great to have such a knowledgeable guide to learn about the geography, plant life and history of Red Rocks Park. We also got some great tips for exploring on our own that we would not have found without Kent’s directions.

5.00This was a highlight of our time in Sedona. What we expected was a wonderful hike with glorious views. That was absolutely delivered. What we didn't expect was Andrea as our guide--both of Sedona and in conversation. Her ability to tie the beautiful vistas to larger themes was thought-provoking. Giving us all the opportunity to introduce ourselves, explain our positions and our goals and dreams for not only our company but personal lives as well.
