This is shared shuttle transportation that delivers to the airport and central zones of Guatemala City (Zone 1 bus stations, Zone 10 hotels, and Zone 13 hotels adjacent to the airport).
We ask you allow MINIMUM 4.5 hours travel time, and leave ample time if you're catching a departing flight, as traffic and other delays can happen. Sometimes, we pass through Antigua to drop off passengers and there may be a short wait there. Inquire with us if you're worried about arrival times to the airport. This is NOT direct service most of the time.

Child safety seats are not legally required in Guatemala. If you are traveling with a child, please bring your own child safety seat or hold your child on your lap. Children in safety seats OR aged 3+ will be considered paying passengers.
Plan for a total trip duration of 4.5 hours minimum. There is a stopover and/or change of van in Antigua for this service.

This trip takes 4.5 hours minimum. Buses pass through Antigua and sometimes a change of vehicle is required. Passengers will be collected from either the dock on Calle del Embarcadero (for arrivals from the other villages), or at a hotel in central Panajachel and transported to La Aurora International Airport, Zone 10 hotels, Zone 13 hotels (right near the airport), or Zone 1 bus stations. If you are taking this shuttle direct to the airport for a departing flight, please leave ample time for delays due to accidents, traffic, construction, or bad weather. We are not responsible for missed flights. We anticipate minimum 4.5 hours travel time from Panajachel to the airport, and sometimes this shuttle makes a stop through Antigua to drop off other passengers or for a change of vans. Please check with us upon booking as to your drop off address if it is NOT the airport to make sure we cover that area / address. We only deliver to the airport, hotels in the gated community of Zone 13 directly adjacent to the airport, Zone 10 hotels, and Zone 1 bus stations. This service is operated by a third party and all agencies in town book onto this bus.

Huge ripoff : Lake Atilan to Guatemala airport transfer

1.00Incredibly bad service, we booked a one way for two from Lago Atitlan to Guatemala Airport and were dropped off at a gas station in El Tejar. We were told there to get in a car , small black car and in total we were with 4 luggage’s so not enough space. We immediately called . We were initially told to make it fit, this was in no way possible and after 10 minutes of complaining on phone that we had paid for a one way to the Airport and nowhere else, the finally told us a replacement car would come for us. We had to wait 30 minutes in this middle of nowhere gas station for the replacement car. We have always booked tour and transits with your company but this experience cannot be any worse.

5.00I took the shuttle from Panajachel to the Guatemala City airport. The shuttle was comfortable and roomy. The driver was an expert. I felt very safe. We arrived at exactly the time promised. I highly recommend Due South Travels and Marvelus shuttle service.

1.00Driver was on time but the bus was pretty full and we had to ask him multiple times to turn on the air conditioning since it was hot and stuffy. At one point my mom had asked the driver to turn off the music because she found it to be pretty offensive. De got defensive then turned off the air conditioning as a punishment for several hours. The drive to the airport took about 5 hours as they made multiple stops around the city to drop off the other passengers.

3.00It’s a tight squeeze inside when the minibus is operating to capacity. Tall and wide people be aware… leg room is limited and 3 people usually in each row..

5.00On time and dependable. We left Panajachel at 905am and got to Guatemala City airport at 1210. It was a direct shuttle to Guatemala City with one 7 min gas station stop to use the bathroom. There was some traffic when we got into the city but nothing crazy. I also took this same shuttle service from Antigua to lake atitlan. I would definitely recommend this service.

5.00Shuttle picked us up last, but it was within the 30 mins from 4:00pm original time. Full shuttle, but seats were wide and cozy. We stopped to swap to another van for airport, and it went smoothly. I am prone to car sickness, only the first 45 mins from Pana were a little tough.

4.00Van was clean and air conditioned. The driver picked me up on time and also made great time to the airport, getting us there about 30 mins earlier than expected. We also were able to stop for a toilet / water break since it was about a 4 hour drive. I was a little anxious during the ride because the roads were very windy and also had some steep inclines / declines that went around curves and were on cliffs / mountains and it was unsettling how fast the driver was going at times. However, I did realize most people were driving that way, so it's probably normal to drive like that, but it didn't make the anxiety any better.

5.00Booking was easy. Once in the country all drivers were reliable and knowledgeable. We felt safe and got to our destinations without any issues. Everyone we met was very sweet and accommodating (I traveled with a 4-year old).

5.00The tour was very educational love the market, but was unable to stopped for lunch❤️ The driver was wonderful. He was patient. He waited for us, even though our bus was late. Great experience inocencia guetamala.
