A 3.5-hour food tour indulging in the best of Michelin Guide Singapore food & other popular hawker food stalls right in the heart of Chinatown.
Singapore is a melting pot of flavours and on this food-focused walking tour, you can sample a variety of delicious dishes from the multi-cultural community of Singapore (Chinese, Malay, Indian and Peranakan) and explore the ethnically diverse neighbourhoods of Chinatown.
Follow your tour guide through the streets and learn about the history, culture, and heritage of Singapore and discover where the locals like to eat. Get in-depth insights into each dish that you sample (from Michelin guide hawkers and popular food stalls) and hear stories about the local communities. Aimed to satiate discerning taste buds, this food tour is a definite for all adventurous foodies! An absolute delightful way to travel and eat like a local for the day!

Enjoy a fixed-menu meal with either a regular or vegetarian option available. As Michelin-recognised vegetarian hawker dishes are limited in Singapore, some vegetarian tastings may be sourced from other must-try local eateries.
Due to the nature of hawker dining, we may be unable to accommodate severe allergies (e.g. peanut or gluten allergies), as food is prepared by multiple individual stalls and restaurants.
Tour operates rain or shine.
Please bring along poncho/umbrella and water to stay hydrated.
Dress code is casual with comfortable footwear.
Moderate amount of walking is required, including outdoors, tour not suitable for those who require walking assistance.
Guests are advised to be punctual.
Please arrive 15 mins at the designated meeting point before tour starts.

On this 3-hour guided tour, you'll explore the Telok Ayer and Chinatown neighbourhoods and sample local favourites served by humble hawker vendors, heritage brands and household names each backed with an amazing culinary story. Our guides will even take you to sample the world-famous Michelin star hawker - Soya Sauce Chicken Rice. without having to survive a queue! The entire tour will take about 3 hours, depending on group size, walking speed and weather conditions, covering approximately 3km.

5.00Jeffrey and Lut were excellent. The food was authentic and delicious but it was made even better by their hospitality and care. Great for families and even families with special needs. I would definitely go again.

5.00Jeffery and Lut were amazing!! I learned so much and ate amazing food! I would absolutely recommend this tour! I contacted Monster Tours ahead of time with questions about the tour and they were so responsive, polite, spoke English well and I greatly appreciated their hospitality.

5.00Richard Ong was a lovely really engaging guide. He was skilled at making sure everyone in the group was included. We were taken to Hawker places I never would have found and learnt a lot from Richard about how local Singaporeans live on a daily basis. It was great to meet the stall owners and realise, for example at the curry puff stall, that some families have run the businesses for generations. I’ve been to Chinatown before but never got beyond the souvenir stalls in a way this tour enables you to do. Highly recommended.

5.00If you want to experience the best Hawker food and learn a bit of the culture at the same time, this is the tour for you. You won’t leave hungry for sure! Big Jon was so informative and attentive, willing to answer all our questions and not at all sales pitchie. Definitely worth it!

5.00It is a very efficient tour with 7 dishes and 2 drinks planned for us, worth the price. The tour guides were engaging and I learnt a lot more about what Michelin stores there are in Singapore. The duration was just nice, we end with a full stomach and good experience.
Ong and Kai showed us such a nice time seeing the hawker stalls. Great foods.
