Explore the oldest and also the most important Prague monument - the Castle, the traditional seat of the Czech monarchs, since 1918 the president of the republic.
Through successive reconstructions and modifications, the original hill fort from the 9th century became one of the largest castle complexes in the world.
During the guiding tour, you will enjoy a visit to the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the old Royal Palace with the Vladislav Hall, the Basilica of St. George, and the Golden Lane.
You will see the masterpieces of architects, sculptors, and artists who lived here in different centuries, worked, and created a unique monument, which today is admired by millions of visitors.

Our Prague castle tour with a local guide is a “skip the ticket line” tour. It means you will get your admission ticket before the tour starts, or during the tour. Unfortunately, to visit the interiors, all guides and their tourists have to stand in a common line. There is no special entrance for guides. Fortunately, the line moves quickly enough. We will do our best to make sure you don't get bored in line. Our guides will tell you interesting facts and legends that you will not find in guidebooks or answer your questions.

You will start in front of the First Courtyard of Prague Castle. The first courtyard of Prague Castle is one of the four courtyards of Prague Castle. It has the form of an honorary court and forms the ceremonial western entrance from Hradčanské náměstí (Castle District marketplace) to the Castle.
Prague Castle
The guide will lead you to the Second Courtyard of Prague Castle. The courtyard acquired its present appearance under the reign of Maria Theresa of the House of Habsburg after the middle of the18th century. Here you can find the Prague Castle Picture Gallery, Chapel of the Holy Cross, Imperial Stables and the Office of the President of the Czech Republic.

4.00Great views and an incredible cathedral. Our guide was really into the detailed history and lost all of our group in the minutia. The views are spectacular down on the city below and the inside of the both churches on the site were amazing. At the end you are pretty hungry so stop at the restaurant right at the East gate and get a spot on the balcony overlooking Prague (stumbled in on this place and glad we did). See the photos for the views!

5.00The tour was enjoyable. There ere a total of 8 people in our tour. 6 people were from our family. We met in front of the castle where a brief introduction was made and we made our way through the stops on the tour. The tour ended on golden lane with a bunch of little shops where you could buy souvenirs. While on our tour, an individual on their own heard our tour guide speaking about something and the tour guide kindly answered their questions even as they continued asking more questions.

5.00We had a great tour of Prague Castle complex with Inna. Her knowledge of Czech history is outstanding and she was happy to answer so many of our questions. The St Vitus cathedral was stunning!
