This three-hour, small-group walking tour will explain why Hitler came to power, what role Czechoslovakia played in the Third Reich and what life was like during the Nazi occupation. Czechoslovakia played a pivotal role in World War II and was key to Germany’s war effort. Your guide will take you behind Prague's beautiful exterior and show you the scars it hides from the past.

He answered any questions with clarity and my husband and I couldn’t have asked for any more from the tour. 5.00We had Daniel for our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Operation Anthropoid and the war in general. We would highly recommend Daniel and this tour to better understand the Czech resistance, the Gestapo in Prague, and the elimination of Heydrich. We had several great discussions on these subjects and really enjoyed our time with Daniel.

5.00If you are a WWII buff this tour ties in the main focus to eliminate German SS officer Reinhard Heydrich, the butcher of Prague. Our tour guide Daniel specializes in history and covered events from the end of 1918 through 1945. I highly recommend taking this tour with him.

5.00As someone who is very interested in this period of history, and in particular Operation Anthropoid, this tour did not disappoint. Our tour guide Allen was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and provided a background to how we ended up going to war in the first place, and later the plan to assassinate Heydrich. He told the story, much of which is quite upsetting in a very human way, and in a way which my wife (who isn't necessarily a world war 2 enthusiast) found very interesting and easy to follow. The tour culminated at St Cyril and St Methodius church where Czech paratroopers (2 of whom carried out the attack on Heydrich) hid in the crypt, and were eventually betrayed. A very sombre place, but a privilege to visit and pay respects. A highly recommended tour.

5.00Our guide, Allen, is not only deeply passionate about the subject but also exceptionally well versed in both the historical context of the events that preceded the Anthropoid story and the complex details of the story itself. He connects at a most human level with his guests and is a delightful individual to spend time with. An excellent and moving presentation. Well worth the time and money. We will hopefully see him again one day in Prague.
If you’re a fan of history this tour is a must. Daniel was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable.

5.00If you’re a fan of history this tour is a must. Daniel is a wonderful guide and extremely knowledgeable. Do a general walking tour and tour of the Jewish quarter, of course. Next, you should do this.
