  The small group was great. Alex was a great host. The fish, rays, turtles and fish were amazing. The snacks and juice at the end was a nice bonus.

  I had read plenty of reviews about Alex Lagoon Tours, but nothing could have prepared me for how incredible this day would be. There are some details I didn’t see mentioned elsewhere that make this tour truly unique. First, you need to understand why this tour leaves at 8 AM. Only six people are on the experience, making it incredibly personal. You won’t need water shoes—Alex provides fins where needed. His goal is to take you to safe, immersive spots that are otherwise hard to reach. My wife was nervous and had a bit of trouble with her snorkel, but Alex quickly “reeled” her in—literally! We were towed behind the boat, holding onto handles, as he guided us slowly between two motus where eagle rays, turtles, sharks, and vibrant fish roam. Epic doesn’t even begin to cover it. Next, we visited Sharks and Rays, a popular spot—but we got there early to beat the crowds. It made all the difference. Here we learned about the stingrays and their behavior, and everyone loved feeling the rays brush against them. As more boats arrived, it was time to move on. Alex took us to a coral garden between Coco Beach and another motu few people can access. We snorkeled for 45 minutes and loved every second. Our last stop was near the breaking edge of the lagoon, just before the open ocean. Alex taught us about the water barrier that protects the island. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, the coral garden here was breathtaking—the brightest, most colorful coral I’ve ever seen. A huge stingray even swam right past us. Did I say “us”? I didn’t realize my 14-year-old daughter had been following me the whole time, and I was so proud. I was also grateful that Alex kept a watchful eye on everyone through binoculars—we were a long way from the boat at times. On the way back, we explored some exciting routes through the coral garden, making the return just as memorable as the rest of the tour. If you go on any snorkeling excursion in Moorea, this is the one not to miss.

  Hands down the best snorkeling experience I have had. Being in a group of 6 people makes all the difference. Alexander took us to the hot spots in front of all the bigger group tours and the best part for me was the private area we were able to snorkel. I felt like I was the only person in the vast ocean having no boats or people around. You will need to take a taxi from the port. Our port was 9 minutes away. Highly recommend.

  A very nice afternoon with Alex, discovering the beautiful coral garden at sunset, plus turtles, stingrays, and blacktips, which we never tire of. Little navigation, maximized snorkeling. The little extra: a good rum at the end of the day, at sunset. Note: a young woman in the group was doing her very first snorkeling and was scared at first. Alex was very pedagogical and reassuring with her; as a result, she felt very comfortable and already wants to put her head back in the water 🤿 I recommend it for both beginners and regulars 🦈 Thank you!   Wonderful experience. Alex is a knowledgeable and funny guide. I liked his jokes about Australia. It is so much safer snorkeling in Moorea. Excellent selection of diverse spots to discover. Great we were a small group. The swim with sharks and rays was the highlight for me.

  Alex did a fantastic job of getting us to incredible snorkeling spots and avoiding/beating the crowds. Saw a bunch of turtles, sharks, rays, fish, and coral. So special to do this in a small group tour!

  Beat snorkeling experience my wife and I have ever been on. Alex was an amazing guide, at one point we swam alongside sharks and giant rays (my wife’s worst nightmare) and he made everyone comfortable and we all had a once in a lifetime experience. 100% go to Alex for your snorkeling tour.

  

  

• Fantastic captain and snorkel tour

  Only 5 on the boat! We waded ankle deep to the boat to get started. Captain Alex was very friendly and explained everything well. First stop we hung on to ski ropes and snorkeled at idling speed which was amazing not to have to swim far. Saw lots of wildlife including turtles. Second stop we waded around wild rays and black tip sharks. Third stop we snorkeled out to the reef break which is so alive! Last stop right before sundown we snorkeled near a large coral formation and saw tons of fish and an eel. Then, captain Alex served homemade passion fruit drink to end the day. Amazing, highly recommend!
