No rush, but real movement. On certain sections, there is no fixed speed limit. If traffic allows, your driver will safely show the natural flow of the road. Zugspitze
Zugspitze Cable Car – Ascent to the Summit Before departure, we check if the cable car is operating and how the weather looks at the top. Please note that the main cable car may be closed for scheduled maintenance. In such cases we take the cogwheel train to the Zugspitzplatt station. Before the trip we always verify the current operational status to ensure the best possible route to the glacier. Please bring a warm jacket as temperatures at the summit can drop below freezing even on a sunny day At the base station, you take the cable car up to Zugspitze, the highest point in Germany. The cabins are spacious, the ride is quiet, and the view opens gradually as you rise above the valley. In just a few minutes, the landscape shifts from forest to high alpine terrain.
