For added fun and memories that will last a lifetime, take either a 1- or 2-hour surf lesson in Myrtle Beach! With side-by-side guidance, your instructor will show you the ins and outs of surfing to prepare you for the rest of your trip. Your board is provided, just bring your bathing suit for a great time catching some waves.

Our Myrtle Beach surf lessons are led by Jack’s professional surf instructors and are tailored to fit all ages and skill levels. Our CPR and First Aid Certified instructors will ensure not only your safety, but also create and fun and interactive learning environment for each student. So go ahead, check it off your bucket list. Give surfing a try with us. You won’t regret it. Lessons start on land with a 15-20 minute dry training session focusing on proper technique for paddling, popping up, and balance. Once the basics are mastered, ocean safety and water conditions are discussed at the waters edge. Then to the waves we go! The remaining portion of the lesson is spent with your instructor in the water practice everything you just learned on land. Our encouraging and fun instructors will continue working with you on your timing, stance, and positioning in the wave to optimize your success. In no time you will be riding waves and shredding the gnar! You’ll be stoked you caught the surf bug at Jack’s Surf Lessons in Myrtle Beach. We keep a 3:1 student to instructor ratio to make sure everyone gets the attention they need. Please call for private lessons.

3.00GOOD TIME AND VERY CONVENIENT. Kevin the surf instructor was very nice and good instructor. Paige was the coordinator on the phone and was very helpful. The surfboards were not in the best condition. Holes in the boards and luminant separating from the foam boards.

1.00I’m writing this as a long-term warning to anyone visiting North Myrtle Beach. Years ago, I was stopped at 12:30 AM for a stop sign violation while visiting a friend. Despite explaining I had recent eye surgery and blowing a 0.00 on the breathalyzer, the police refused a field sobriety test and insisted I was "on something." I was arrested, taken to the hospital for a forced urinalysis, and verbally abused by the officer when I tried to watch my sample. I spent the night in jail and had to pay thousands in legal fees to be cleared of everything except the stop sign. Even the local legal system failed me—my own lawyer eventually admitted he wouldn't sue the city because he had a "good thing going" and didn't want to ruin his relationship with them. If you're a tourist, know that you are on your own here. Even if you are 100% sober and innocent, you can be caught in a system designed to take your money and protect its own.

5.00The instructors Kev and Evan were fantastic!! They made the experience easy and very welcoming! Wetsuit rental was optional but the water was cold so I definitely recommend, it makes the experience more enjoyable.
Solo surfing at 53 and worth it.
