1.00This tour started on a sour note, and went down hill from there. Our paperwork told us to meet outside the cruise terminal at 9:15am for a 9:30am departure. When we arrived at 9:15am, we were informed that our tour would not depart until 10:15am, as "the 1st bus is full and we needed to wait until it returns to the port." It was very cold, the wind was blowing, there was no cover, and the representative told us to "walk back to the port building and shop for a while. Once the bus returned to the terminal area, we finally headed to Old Town Tallinn. Here is where the tour got worse. There were a few people with walking issues (not my group) and they had trouble maneuvering the cobblestones which slowed everyone down. When we arrived at our stop between the Parliament building and a church, our tour guide, Alli, started explaining the area, however, with the number of guests in our group, we had extreme difficulty hearing her. After about 20 minutes of not hearing her well, I asked when we would be entering the church. Alli looked surprised that we wanted to go inside and said "I guess you can take a couple of minutes, but be quick so I can stay on schedule" At that time, my group told her we would be going off on our own as going into buildings was very important to us. Overall, this was a huge disappointment to all of us. Unless changes are made, I wouldn't recommend this tour. I would like a refund or a Viator credit due to the issues we had with this tour.

1.00We did not have a good experience. Besides being told our tour was starting later then we booked upon arriving at the set location and us having to wait, we were not expecting to be on a tour and not being able to hear our guide. It was a large group and some of the other people had mobility issues. The guide spoke very softly and we had no audio devices. We wasted a lot of time on the sidewalk waiting for her to tell us we could go into the first stop. When we realized she had no intention of us going into or that we could go for a few minutes, we let her know we would no longer be on the tour. As it was not what we signed up for. We would like a refund or a credit for this tour. It was very disappointing

5.00We were a group of friends arriving by cruise and decided on this Tallinn “must see” tour. It was a good way to get a sense of the city without worrying about transport. The Old Town was beautiful and very walkable, with plenty of photo stops. The guide shared useful context, though not overly detailed, which suited the relaxed style of the group. It’s not a deep dive into Tallinn’s history, but it’s a solid introduction and a nice shared experience with friends.

5.00We throughly enjoyed this tour and our guide was excellent. Although a lot of walking (3 hour walking tour), the van dropped us off at the top of old town and we walked down. Old Town was wonderful, a perfect mix of history and shopping and daily life.

5.00Ethyl was a star tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and really made this excursion worthwhile with so many bits of helpful information along with the colorful stories. When you take one of these excursions it is easy to tell whether or not your guide really cares and Ethyl was certainly one who did. Highly recommend.
