I did a solo trip to Uzbekistan in June 2026. I had pre booked a tour and assumed it was as part of a group but I ended up being the only person (and was very happy). My tour guide Iroda was excellent. I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. She was so enthusiastic and really ensure that we went at my pace and spent time on what I wanted. It felt highly personalised. I had also hurt my back a few weeks before and she took great care in ensure that I had places to sit down or if we needed to taxi anywhere. She covered all the main sites and the history behind the city. Highly recommend (you need a tour guide in the city).

If you like to explore Tashkent with real city experience then this the best tour. Our guide Iroda was very knowledgeable and prepared well for the tour. She gave us great in depth details and history about the city and various landmarks. If you want to immerse with the local culture, explore the old city and get local vibes in Tashkent then this tour is a must.

We had an absolutely amazing tour with Asrorbek. His English is outstanding! We liked Asrorbek to talk about the history of Tasjkent and Oezbekistan together with fun facts about places and structures together with personal experiences and stories. We can highly recommend this tour.

This was the greatest thing I did in Tashkent. I learned so much more than I thought I would. I really had no expectations and I was amazed at everything. Our group got along so well and I’m so glad to have had such a beautiful introduction to Tashkent and to Uzbekistan

I travelled to Uzbekistan (and Central Asia) for the first time in May 2026 and was welcomed to the capital city Tashkent by Asrorbek who guided myself and a large group of travellers on this food and walking tour. Tashkent is a large and intimidating city to explore alone, so discovering the city as part of the walking tour is the perfect option — especially one organised and run as smoothly as the one guided by Asrorbek. Asrorbek is incredibly patient with all guests, leaving plenty of time to ask questions and take pictures. He has an incredibly warm personality, exceptionally clear communication and an incredible sense of humour which makes for a very engaging tour. At the bazaar, selecting from the various food options can also be overwhelming, but Asrorbek patiently explains all of the available options, making sure to cater to those with special dietary requirements. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour and Asrorbek in particular for anyone wanting to explore Tashkent!

One of the best city tours I have done. We had an awesome group of similar ages in the tour, and that made the tour a lot more interesting. Our tour guide - Asrorbek was absolutely fantastic. He went out of his way to show us different food that could only be found in the Chorsu Bazaar, and he was fun, engaging and regularly check on everyone. Even though he was exhausted, he extended the tour a couple of hours beyond just to make sure we all have a good time. It's a shame that we didn't get around to try the best plov in the city, but the experience is still one of the best out of 30+ tours I have been on in my lifetime. Thank you!

What a great tour. Well on time, organized and small group (we were 8pax). Our guide Asrorbek was wonderful. His spirit kept the group energy, he was so professional regardless of his age. He shared endless facts and insights about Uzbekistan and Tashkent, went all and above. Would strongly recommend to book the walking & food tour with him. We covered all must do places and rolled home after eating all the tasty food.

Our guide was on time, nice, and guided us for nearly four hours. There was some confusion joining the group as we received a clear WhatsApp from the company but ignored a message from another person who didn’t say who they were. Once we did connect, the guide took us to visit some city squares, several subway stations, and we viewed a mosque/museum from the outside. We also tasted two candies at the market. Compared to other guides, this guide shared too little information about each site. Also, it was difficult to hear our guide in the metro because they kept talking when the trains were coming through. At the end of the tour, we knew we would we left far from where we started. However, there was no offer to help us get tickets for the museum we were left at (we were told it was two hours so we couldn’t go) nor did they offer to direct us to the closest metro station. I didn’t mind paying to enter the metro (21 cents) but some guests had to use a local app to pay for a taxi to get to the second part of the tour. These requirements and costs were not listed in the tour description.

Our guide, Asrorbek, was friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. Our small group of 6 enjoyed our walking tour through old and new Tashkent. Our guide had a book of helpful images to supplement his narrative about the many historical eras represented in Tashkent. Our trip had a good mix of historical anecdote and walking around. Highlights included grazing at the bread and food stalls at Chosu Bazaar. We followed our tour with a visit to the Center for Islamic Civilization. Bek helped us get tickets there, as well as sort out our Yandex Go app. Visiting the Center for Islamic Civilization makes for a great combo; we enjoyed the feasts for the senses, especially the prehistoric exhibits and the light and sound show associated with the first inspirations for the Koran, and the view of the very old Koran on display.
