When it comes to Colorado whitewater, hardly anyone knows about the San Miguel River. Which is kind of a surprise! Given how much fun it is, on top of being in proximity to bougie and beloved Telluride.
The rafting section is gorgeously scenic, exciting for all experience levels, and pretty much a must if you want to spend the morning like a local. Its red sandstone canyon juxtaposed by flourishing pine forests make for a picturesque setting to recreate on this Rocky Mountain river.
Anyone who loves the outdoors will have an absolute hoot on this tour, whether it’s your first or hundredth time rafting. Just ask our guides, most— if not all!— will agree that the San Miguel is their favorite river to run.

5.00Had a wonderful time. Was the exact amount of danger for a newbie. Kids were on the raft and did great. Guides were awesome. Would highly recommend.

5.00The river was beautiful and peaceful Water level not too high because of unusually low snowfall this winter so not much whitewater But, again, a really cool adventure for my kids and for beginner rafters

5.00We have done whitewater rafting on bigger rivers. This experience was very different in positive sense. Our family of 6 (4 teens) had a wonderful time. We split into 2 rafts. Hayden was wonderful overall for the girls and really bonded with one of my daughters. Dylan was the guide for the boys raft and he also was great. We were on the water for over an hour, maybe 90 minutes, and we never stopped moving. Everyone got wet but not excessive. The scenery was also nice with lots of forest and red rock canyons. Our family had a great time.
I have rafted before so was so happy it was as good or better than my other trips!

5.00Just a lot of fun and Noah was great! Will definitely do it again next year. Water was really low so will check that out and maybe go a little earlier.

5.00The rafting was amazing and the team was full of expert guides. Our guide, Julian, could not have been any better. Loved meeting him, hearing his story and the way he taught us and led our raft was awesome. Can't recommend them enough and will be booking another trip with them soon!

5.00We did this last year for the first time and loved it! This time we booked the morning as we wanted faster water. We received a text last night saying the water was down and did we want to go? ( 4 of us). We talked it over and finally decided to continue. We had such a great time!! Corbin and Julian were amazing raft guides and so much fun as well! They were very safe, respectful and we are so happy we went!!!! I highly recommend Mild to Wild Rafting! You will not regret it and love it!

5.00It was so much fun and it perfect for our first time rafting trip! Our guide Lauren was amazing! She encouraged us and directed us through areas with big rocks with out get bumped out of boat. Ready to do another trip!!
