The Temple of Poseidon also known as the second Acropolis of Athens is located in the Area of Sounion.
The God of all seas, waters and Oceans, brother and second in power only to Zeus, had his Temple in Sounio from the 5TH century B.C. The visitors can there spend about 1 hour and enjoy the Sunset and the Temple of

5.00I am an idiot and accidentally booked this for the wrong date (on a cruise - booked for a day we were in a different city - oops). Kostas was so understanding and worked with me to reschedule for the correct date! He was also incredibly knowledgeable and a great guide, answering our questions about the areas we passed through on the way to the Temple as well as our questions about the Temple itself. The van was clean and luxurious, and since the Temple is quite a drive from the cruise port in Athens, I highly recommend any fellow cruisers to book a comfortable ride like this. Absolutely worth every penny! Thank you Kostas!!

5.00Temple of Poseidon is amazing. The trip took about one hour and half to get there. The temple closes at 3:20pm during the winter time. If you got plenty of time in Athens and wanted to get out of the city for a few hours, this trip should be a good option while you would appreciate the coastal view as well. Our guide Kostas was friendly and shared quite a lot of Athens history and culture. Riding the luxury minivan was pleasant for us.

5.00Kostas was wonderful. This is definitely the way to book an excursion with luxury, flexibility and comfort where we have a say in the itinerary. avoid the big buses with strict time schedules and an overcrowded bus. We had such a great experience we reached out to Kostas again on short notice to transport us to lake vouliagmeni to spend the day and he made it happen!! Thanks again Kostas!!!
Nick is an excellent guide. His knowledge enriched the tour. We enjoyed the views. We had dinner at a good restaurant..

5.00Amazing! Our driver Kostas was fantastic. Can’t say enough. The drive and stops were perfect. Everything we could expect and more. Stopped for dinner after and had a great meal. Kostas was full of knowledge and helped us with some Greek language. Great time. Would highly recommend and will ask for him to take us anywhere 😊💕
