From the friendly, professional, knowledgeable crew (Sean & Richard), to the excellent OPW guide Reece, and the the friendly cafe owners, all contributed to an extremely enjoyable visit to the island..seals, dolphins, puffins, a whale! Excellent geology and local history..enthusiastically regaled by the crew out and back from the island. Highly recommend this tour...

We took the mini tour it was a fantastic experience we were welcomed on board by Chris and Seán two nicer people you couldn't meet. We spent about an hour getting to the Blasket Island stopping enroute to view some very interesting rock formations. Had a lovely visit to the Island for a few hours and very safe and secure transfer to smaller craft for landing. On the way back we saw some Dolphins.Puffins really nice and back to Dingle. We had a great experience and would highly recommend these people . John&Maryvonne.

Very beautiful excursion despite the rain. Fast boat expertly driven, a bit of rock-hopping to see the geological features of the island, with very relevant explanations; nice walk on the island among the ruins of an ancient village, seals, and sheep; travel to another island to observe nesting birds in the cliffs (puffins, guillemots, razorbills). An excursion that we highly recommend

That was a fun ride! Those who like I am are coming from no-big-water-and-small-vessels places embrace yourself and believe in Sean's and Richard's professionalism 😄 The ride was bumpy but it was worth it. The island is wonderful and full of history. I wish we were provided with the map of the paths around the whole island. It would be interesting to see more of it without fear to miss the ride back. Chasing or rather playing with dolphins was the pinnacle of our adventure. And of course, birds. Lots of different birds on the rocks. Sean and Richard seem to know everything about them. I would definitely recommend taking this tour while in Dingle. The weather was mostly cloudy and a bit rainy but it did not spoil the impression.

We absolutely LOVED our whole tour experience!! You meet at the Dingle Harbor - right behind the tourist info office, if you arrive early enough the boat might not be there yet - and hop on a very orange boat with 11 of your new best friends + 2 boat staff. You take this very orange boat to the Great Blasket Island area, then take a small dinghy to get onto the island (the transfer is easy and the 2 boat staff members are so helpful! don't worry - I barely noticed), then have a few hours to explore the island (we managed to join a free OPW tour to learn about the island's history for ~1 hr 15 min and then visited the seals - 50-100m away - on the beach for the remainder of our time on the island; no guarantees there will be a free OPW tour happening that day/while you're there but you can certainly ask at the cafe on the island, otherwise the boat staff do give you maps with points of interest on the island so you can DIY it), then get back on the dinghy/then back on the very orange boat and get back to the Dingle Harbor around 6 hours later, ish. When you're on the orange boat, depending on weather and swells, you will get an "eco tour" - the 2 boat staff will point out (and slow down so you can see!) dolphins and puffins. The boat staff really try hard to look out for wildlife and to make sure everyone can see as much as possible. Highly recommend, as soon as it's safe to, stepping outside at the back of the boat and journeying back there! You'll see so much more! We brought our lunch onto the island with us - you pack in & out your garbage, there are clean & functional public toilets on the island near the cafe, and the cafe itself I think just serves drinks. Go chat with the people running the cafe, they apply to live on the island for ~6 mo and have awesome stories to share. Sean & Richard -- we can't thank you enough for the most wonderful day :)

Excellent tour! So glad I was able to get a spot last minute. The boat has an inside area to stay a bit dryer, or if you're like me and dont mind getting a bit wet you can stay outside as well. Super fun trip with beautiful scenery, and enjoyed being able to get out and go on the Great Blasket island. Saw seals, puffins, lots of other sea birds, and dolphins! Sean and Richard were also great and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!

While the ocean was choppy with waves Blasket Island was a beautiful place full of seals and ruins. I didn’t end up having enough time to do the whole island loop sadly. And coming back there were pods of common dolphins!!! Even some puffins!
