Hi! and welcome to the most friendly city on earth (and that's official). The 'Legendary tour' has been running for over a decade now and has been much praised over the years for going well beyond the historical outline of city. We take you on meandering tour around the backstreets of the fine medieval city with a few stops that relate to more modern times.
The tour focusses of legends rather than just history and will adapt to appeal the personal interests of the participants.
Galway has some fascinating tales that are brought to life through Neil's storytelling. Who can resist a tales of love, pirates, murder and adventuring in new lands?
We also take great delight in recommending places to eat and drink that we think we will really appeal to you.
You will be part of a group that is never more than 15 people to allow for a more personalised and intimate experience of our city.

5.00The young lady who took the tour was very informative & made the tour very enjoyable. I was fascinated by the murder story which she explained very well. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone going to Galway.

5.00The Legendary Walking Tour of Galway is a truly unique experience sharing the history and culture of medieval Galway and how it relates to modern life. Our guide, Martin, was exceptionally knowledgeable as he guided us through the oldest parts of medieval Galway. He made the history come alive through funny anecdotes and strange and interesting facts. He was more than willing to answer any questions that anyone in the group asked. Highly recommend!!

5.00We were guided around Galway by Neil, who was one of the best guides I’ve ever had. He had unbelievable history knowledge and story telling ability for the entire 90 minutes. A great way to see Galway while getting a good dose of history. Recommend for anyone visiting Galway who likes stories from the past, and a great local guide!

2.00We seldom, if ever, rate this low on anything. However, it should be known that we were expecting a historical walking tour. Instead, we had a walking tour that gave us pieces of a single story at each stop. What made it frustrating was at the final stop, we learned the story that had been given to us was not historically accurate at all. At no time during this tour did they give us any historical facts about anything along the way. While our guide was very nice, we certainly expected more. I hope you take this as constructive criticism and alter the plans for future guests.

4.00There were only two participants, yet our guide was happy to lead us through the city and provided many interesting background information about the houses and buildings. It was pleasantly engaging and also at the right pace.
