Are you new to snorkeling or nervous in the ocean? Are you not a great swimmer or can't swim at all? We at Gabriel's Ohana are excited to show you a whole new world. Our guides have become know for their patience and kindness in sharing this experience with people just like you. We provide fitted life vests from sm-xxxl, they have under the leg straps that keep the vest centered so you are very buoyant in the water. You can just float around and enjoy the view. The guides have even been know to hold hands the entire tour for a very nervous few.
This tour is also great for experienced snorkelers. Olowalu Reef is very vast! So much to explore!

Want a snorkel tour that stands apart from the rest? Join Gabriel’s Ohana for a guided, highly educational, hands on snorkeling tour. This tour is great for beginner’s and experienced a like. Our guides will accompany you out over Maui’s oldest reef system in Olowalu. There you will see a variety of corals and sea life including honu, our green sea turtles. The guides will find creatures you can touch and interact with. New to snorkeling? Our guides are very patient and kind when working with guests who are new to snorkeling or just nervous in the water. They will stay by your side and even hold your hand as they guide you around the reef. Not a great swimmer? We provide fitted life vests from size small to XXL. They have under the leg straps so they stay in place and keep you buoyant in the water. Each vest is equipped with a whistle and pass coast guard standards. 5.00This was our first time ever snorkeling. Some of us were very nervous. We also have someone who doesn’t know how to swim. Gabriel’s Ohana was very patient and they go by our pace, no rushing, no forcing. We would recommend this for everyone, especially for those who want to try snorkeling but have reservations. They provided everything. Just book and go. There’s also no time limit which is great for those who need a bit more time. We would do this again next time we come back to Maui.

5.00Gabriel’s Ohana was the perfect tour company for first time snorkelers. Gabriel was super patient and a lovely guide, pointing out many cool sea creatures along the way and allowing us to hold sea urchins and star fish! He provided great assistance and tips to all levels: me and my family, who had never snorkeled before, the non-swimmers, and the people who had previously gone. I had a blast on this tour all the while learning about the beauty and the delicate ecosystem of this vast reef. Additionally, the snorkeling is truly unlimited; after everyone had tired out, Gabriel stayed out with me an extra hour while we continued to explore the reef. It felt like a private tour! Thank you Gabriel’s Ohana, for an unforgettable snorkeling experience!

5.00If you feel nervous at all, DON'T! They take such good care of you! And are so patient and kind, and genuinely want to help. So grateful this father and son share their love and knowledge of the ocean with others. Wonderful, amazing experience.

5.00Gabriel got us started at the waters edge. He then guided us further out from shore where we saw a lot of fish and 2sea turtles. I get nervous to be far from shore in an area that I have never snorkeled before, but his quiet confidence was just what I needed to be comfortable. Highly recommend this for new snorkelers as well as experienced ones. A beautiful day in the water!

5.00Thank you to Gabriel’s Ohana for an amazing experience! I was nervous about snorkeling with my 12 year old for the first time, and they put my mind at ease right away. They were incredibly caring and attentive to everyone, and they kept a close eye on my son to make sure he was safe. Unforgettable, beautiful, and educational! 10/10 mahalo ❤️

5.00Gabriel’s Ohana is an amazing company to choose for snorkeling. Jason was such a calm, easy-going guide. He made me feel comfortable with it being my very first time snorkeling! I told him I just wanted to see a turtle and he went and found 4 of them for me to see! We even saw a cute monk seal relaxing on the beach. Such a magical experience that I will never forget.

5.00Awesome experience, can not recommend enough! Extremely in depth guide of the corals off the beach. Unfortunately (and this is beyond the guides control), the corals close to shore are bleached, but there is still lots of sea life to see!
