  The trip with Isaac was first rate. His recommendation for the order of the tour at Ek Balam was spot on and we got the top of the main temple almost to ourselves.

  We had a great time with Carlos on our private tour. You get what you pay for - on time, friendly, educated, and accommodating. The vehicle was nice, beat the crowds, no lines, informative and not rushed (but enjoyably fast paced) days. We will be back for Chichen Itza!   Had an amazing day touring the Ek Balam site, along with a beautiful cenote swim and cultural lunch. Carlos did a great job from pick-up to end of day. Made our trip extra special as we were celebrating two family birthdays. Highly recommend MyQuest!

  What an absolutely perfect day we had on our guided tour to Ek Balam ruins, a beautiful cenote, and the charming town of Valladolid! And we owe it all to our incredible guide, Carlos. From the moment we were picked up, Carlos was perfectly punctual, setting the tone for a seamless and stress-free day. His friendly demeanor and warm welcome instantly put everyone at ease. As we journeyed, Carlos proved to be an exceptionally knowledgeable guide, enriching our experience at every turn. He shared fascinating insights into Mayan history and culture, bringing the ancient city of Ek Balam to life with his captivating stories and explanations. Climbing the ruins and exploring the intricate carvings felt truly special thanks to his detailed commentary. The visit to the cenote was a refreshing and beautiful escape, made even more enjoyable by Carlos' attentive and caring approach. He ensured everyone felt comfortable and safe while swimming in the crystal-clear waters, highlighting the cenote's natural beauty and significance. Finally, our stop in the cute, quaint town of Valladolid was delightful, allowing us to soak in the local atmosphere and admire the colonial architecture. Carlos was more than just a guide; he was truly amazing – engaging, fun, and genuinely dedicated to making sure we had the best possible experience. Every detail was handled flawlessly, and it truly felt like a personalized adventure designed just for us.   Amazing experience! Our guide Antonio was so friendly and knowledgeable - he was able to share multiple perspectives/theories that exist about the ancient Mayans that we hadn’t heard before.   Our guide Eric was not only highly knowledgeable, but he made sure everything went perfectly smoothly for us. We were the first ones to arrive at the site, and the first ones to climb the acropolis where the views were just incredible. It was so nice to get photos without lots of people in them. Eric gave us tons of flexibility/free time to do what we wanted at each of the stops. The ride was very comfortable, and the water bottles were appreciated. Lunch was at an excellent restaurant in Valladolid where Eric knew the staff and made great suggestions on the menu. I highly recommend the Cochinita Pibil! The cenote was also a great stop for us on the way back. Highly recommend this tour!

  We had a really great day with our guide Benicio. He was able to tell us a lot about the Mayan history, about Ek Balam, Valladolid and a lot on the way. The restaurant in Valladolid was so tasty and real Mexican! And also at the Cenote Oxman we were nearly alone. Time just flew by but we were never in a rush. We really enjoyed the time with just the two of us and no big group. Also the communication before our trip and un the morning were great and easy.

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Feel the ancient wind

  This time I visited Ekbaram and Cenote guided by Heliberto. Climbing and walking around the ruins was difficult because it was just hot, but the panoramic view from the top was unobstructed and I could see what was going on around the temple at that time, when it would have flourished. The explanation of heli was also enthusiastic and I learned a lot. After that, we took a photo in Cenote, had lunch (which Helli chose because you wouldn’t know it if you looked at the Mexican menu) and stopped by a direct tequila restaurant on the way, although it wasn’t part of the tour. I was able to taste it and buy souvenirs. It was a fulfilling day.

• Ek Balam and Oxman Cenote adventure for family from Wisconsin!

  We went with our family of my husband and I and our 5 young adult children. Israel was our guide and he was absolutely fantastic from the start of our day at 6:30am until we returned to our hotel around 3:45pm. He was so kind and friendly from the start. He shared lots of history with us on our drive to Ek Balam, but allowed us to just listen to music and enjoy the views from our van as well. He answered all of our questions and allowed us to have just the right amount of time climbing around the ruins. It was very hot so having all the water bottles chilled in a cooler on the van was great. We then drove to the Oxman Cenote which was so far the highlight of our trip for me! It was stunning! We had so much fun swinging from the rope swing and swimming in the blue/green water.It was not crowded at all so we didn’t have to wait very long or at all for our turn on the rope swing. We then drove to Valladolid and enjoyed a delicious lunch that Israel had pre-ordered for us, however we did get to choose what we wanted to eat from a nice selection. The restaurant was nice and cool (I believe it had A/C) and was so charming!! Very authentic Mexican food was enjoyed by all. It was such a treat to eat with Israel. He helped us out with many small details all day long. We were all quite tired after our adventures and enjoyed a quiet ride back to the resort with lovely music playing in the van. We would recommend this tour highly! Thank you Israel for a wonderful day of family memories!

  Israel was very knowledgeable and super friendly! It was nice to have someone who could guide us through the sites and help us see what we wanted to see.
