• Amazing first time in Jordan

  We had the most amazing time in Jordan through JHT. We booked a private 2 day, 1 night tour from Eilat and was able to stay overnight at a Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum before heading to Petra on the 2nd day. Everything went off without a hitch and it was truly a wonderful and special experience for us. Basma was great to work with from start to finish- she was helpful, responsive, and wonderful to deal with. Our driver, Youssef was the nicest and so accomodating. Our border rep was also so welcoming and helped us get through the border easily. Our guides that were arranged for us at Wadi Rum and Petra were also so wonderful. We would highly recommend JHT for anyone planning on visiting Jordan. Thank you so much for making our visit so memorable!

  My daughter and I did the Petra tour and overnight in Wadi Rum with Jordan Horizons Tours and it’s one of the best things we’ve ever done. I used them for an extra service in crossing the border the day before from Eilat to Aqaba (it was like 30-45 JD) and that was worth it because they got us through the border easily and taxied us to our hotel. The next day we left our luggage at the hotel and the driver took us to Petra. He was great! We met our guide Sami at the visitors center in Petra and then our driver again after we left the visitors center. We then ventured to Sun City Camp for the night which was just incredible. Next day was a 4x4 tour of Wadi Rum w our Bedouin guide- so much fun. Everything was managed perfectly. We had all contact numbers on WhatsApp and our driver gave us a local cell phone in Petra and Wadi Rum and told us to call him any time. I highly recommend this company. Let them take care of everything for you so you don’t attempt to arrange everything in your own.

  

  

• Fabulous trip with Jordan horizons

  Meet and greet at airport was fast, easy and professional. My driver for the entire trip was jihad. He was pleasant, knowledgeable friendly, and became my friend during my travels. During my travel, jihad became my teacher and taught me Arabic numbers and phrases. If I wanted to stop for a photo in the middle of our drive, or something to drink, he was always willing to accommodate me. My tour guide at Petra was Mamoun, he was fabulous, very knowledgeable about archaeology, willing to take a photo if needed, and just a great guy to talk to about Jordan and Petra. My tour of the desert with Mohamed was entertaining and fun. I highly recommend Jordan Horizons. If you’re coming to Jordan book a trip with them.

  I cannot say enough good things about this tour company. My family was travelling to Israel and while we really wanted to visit Petra, we were nervous and anxious about several things including the fact that we would be in a different country altogether, this was still during Covid times and none of our contacts in Israel could personally recommend any guides in Jordan. From the first time that I wrote to Andrea ( and believe me, I wrote her many, many emails to check and double check !), I could always count on her reply within a day- most often within a few hours. She was very patient, knowledgeable, organized and flexible to allow us to fashion the tour to suit our needs. Our driver, Hasan, was courteous and friendly. Mohammed, the CEO of this tour group, was extremely responsive when we decided to add an activity at the last moment and to cap it all, our guide at Petra( Mamoun) turned out to be a foremost Jordanian scholar of archaeology who is currently re writing the history of those magnificent buildings. The service and professionalism is beyond excellent and I can say that they made our Petra trip the most memorable part of the entire vacation.

  I have to confess I was a little nervous about doing this with my 16-year-old son, but this tour ended up being the highlight of our trip. Everything was as advertised, from being met and shepherded through the border to having a great driver and vehicle to having personable, knowledgable tour guides meet us at Wadi Rum and Petra. Mohammed and Andrea were very communicative and helped me feel at ease about the entire adventure. Some notes: We stayed at the Tetra Tree Hotel in Petra and it was clean and comfortable, with a decent breakfast and dinner. We both enjoyed Wadi Rum even more than Petra, but stayed in Petra so we could beat the crowds the next morning. Instead of racing back across the border to Eilat on the second day, we booked the Intercontinental Hotel in Aqaba—a fabulous hotel at half the price of the Eilat equivalent. Think about it! Bring warm clothes and good rain gear if you visit in winter. We were freezing in Petra!

  We chose the two days/one night experience and really enjoyed ourselves. They do need to update their website graphics, but don't let that discourage you. Hassan was very professional and handled our entry at the Jordan border very well. Ali, our driver, was so great at making us feel comfortable and he is so friendly, we felt like we were being taken care of by a longtime friend. The Bedouin guide for Wadi Rum was very nice, made sure we got to see everything and got us back to the driver on time. Since it was winter and cool outside at night, we opted for a hotel instead of sleeping outside. The Tetra Tree hotel where we were placed is beautiful, classy, clean and a better hotel than I expected! The hotel's upstairs rooftop dining for dinner and breakfast offered great food and views of the city. Mamoun picked us up the next morning and is an excellent tour guide for Petra and one of the best I have ever done a tour with. His added research enriched the experience. The Alqantarah restaurant we went to after Petra with our driver had good food and was also more than we expected to do, which was great. The only feedback for the Alqantarah restaurant is to try to keep some of the flies and cats out of the restaurant 🙂. Afterward, Hassan and Ali smoothly facilitated getting us back to the border. Mohammed stayed in touch with us every day both days to make sure things were alright; it really was excellent customer service!

• Amazing adventure with organized, knowledgeable, and friendly guides

  We did the two day / 1 night tour, leaving from the Eilat border, and had the best time. Classic Wadi Rum Tours took care of everything - they were incredibly organized and made the whole trip easy so we could enjoy the fun adventure and not worry about the logistics. They were super communicative, and sent a whatsapp message the night before confirming our details (and with a photo and contact information of who we'd meet at the border, Hasan). At the border Hasan took care of all the paperwork to enter (and exit) - and then our main guide Abu Hasan was great, and spent two days with us taking us to each location we visited in Jordan. He drove us to Wadi Rum for a guided 4x4 tour of the desert - fantastic experience, like seeing a beautiful desert on Mars. Our guide in the desert dropped us off / and picked us up from a camp (highly recommend going with the bubble tent that has the clear roof!) - and then Abu Hasan drove us to Petra. We had a fantastic tour of Petra from a brilliant guide / archaeologist (Mamoun, ask for him!) - and after lunch Abu Hasan brought us back to the border. Only regret is not visiting for longer. Thanks again for a great adventure!

  Transportation from Petra to Wadi rum, overnight and tour... Wonderful, great service! I would suggest everyone to book with classic wadi rum tour!

  After exhaustive research on tours to Petra and Wadi Rum we picked this one based on the excellent reviews, and even prior to booking the incredible customer service and responsiveness of Andrea to all of my (many) questions. Cost, quality of tour and people involved, what we saw/did where we stayed were all excellent, and even better than what I had expected. From start (even before start) to finish, everything went exactly as planned, and as CWRT had detailed in all of their communications to me. If you haven't traveled into Jordan before there's a lot of questions, but they made it so easy and helpful with Mohammad meeting us at the border and helping us through the crossing process (that was GREAT!) and then introducing us to our driver who took care of all of our transportation for the entire 3+ days we were there. Again, another great professional, Abed our driver treated us like family and was very curteous and helpful with showing us around Aqaba and all the places we went (mainly Petra and Wadi Rum). The guides we had on our Wadi Rum and Petra (Kamal was great) tours were very kind, knowledgable, and as with everyone else professional and helpful. It really made the trip so much better knowing we were so well taken care of - in addition to all the great things we were able to see and do. Wadi Rum started with a 4+ hour jeep tour (sounds long, but tine flew by and you really do see a LOT of interesting things, and get to stop to walk around), with a 1-hour camel ride in the middle, that was well worth the few extra $$ - highly recommended. Food and lodging (we stayed at Sun City) were both great, they provided "box" lunches both days, but they were plentiful and all made up of local items that were excellent. The "zarb" dinner and event was fantastic, really worth seeing/doing/having while you are there (it's included). The Sun City "upgrade" tent was really nice to have its own bathroom and heating unit as it was very cold, especially at night and nice not to have to walk to and from communal bathrooms. Petra is what it is, but our visit was enhanced by our excellent guide Kamal who was born in this area and lived here most of his life. He had extensive knowledge, a great sense of humor, and spoke flawless English. 2+ hours of walking in and around, tour finishes at the "bottom" then it's another 1 hour for you to walk back up and out on your own. That's the "time to explore by yourself" portion of the tour - getting back out and whether you want to walk and see anything else. In summary, the sights and reasons for the tour (Petra and Wadi Rum) were excellent, but they are the same on any tour that covers these areas. What truly set Classic Wadi Rum Tours apart was their people (again thanks to Andrea and Mohammad and our driver Abed), their attention to detail, their curteousy/ professionalism, and their responsiveness. All completely top notch. I would 100% recommend CWRT for this tour (assuming their other tours would be handled similarly) and would book with them again without hesitation if back in the area.

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Airport to Petra (vice versa) transportation

  Hisham is a fantastic driver. He met me at the Queen Alia airport on time, and without any fuss, and got me to Petra real quick. He also provided me with no hassle transport from Petra to the Dead Sea and then finally back to the Queen Alia airport. I would definitey get Hisham to provide me with transportation when I go back to Petra, and I would encourage anyone to do so!
