5.00We (mother and daughter) decided to go on a tour with Nilan from Awsome Lanka Travels to learn as much as possible about this wonderful country. He has an incredible knowledge of the country and culture and it was so exciting and enriching to travel with him. He looked after us very well, was always on time and we always felt safe during the excursions and when driving. We will definitely travel with Nilan again on our next visit. Thank you very much for this great time, dear Nilan.

5.00Nilan was our guide and was driving us around. He is the absolute best. He took care of all our requests. He is a local and that absolutely helps.. in communication, in navigating around, in planning the itinerary. He was recommended by a friend and we’re so thankful to them. This was a one week trip I took with my mom and she is a senior citizen and needed comfort in moving around. So we kept the car with us for all the days.. right from airport pick up to drop off. We kept our base at Weligama, explored the area, took day trips to Galle and then headed to Nuwara Eliya uphill. He was there with us throughout. He also took us to all the tourist spots and the unexplored ones too. Helped with currency exchange.. told us when we were being charged extra and took us to another current place instead. Recommended good food spots. All in all a great experience. Thank you So much Nilan and team for your services ;)

5.00We had a great experience with Nilan during our 8 day trip in Sri Lanka. He drove is across several cities and gave a good tour of the culture, food and sightseeing. We highly recommend to have him as your tour guide and driver during your stay in Srilanka. He also was generous to make us try some local fruit delicacy (jackfruit, local mangoes). Overall we are very happy with the service.

5.00Our family of four (two adults + children aged 6 & 7) traveled around Sri Lanka on December 2019 with help from Nilan from Awesome Lanka Travels. We ended up choosing Nilan as our guide for the tour as he came highly recommended by our hotel manager and after meeting him in person we instantly knew him to be well spoken in English and knowledgeably of his country. We had reserved our hotels for the tour in advance, but Nilan assisted us designing the schedule and sights in detail. He drove us safely from point-to-point and and acted as a tour guide for us at many of the historical and religious sights. We would have missed on much without his good knowledge and guidance. Nilan also helped us in arranging train tickets as we chose to have a short train leg at the hill country and two safaris at the national parks. Especially amazing was Nilans knowhow of the nature and animals likewise at the safari sites - where his knowledge and sighting skills surpassed even the park guides. Traveling with children safety and trust are key things that you expect from the people you work with. Nilan and his travel company provided both of these. I can warmly recommend anyone who wishes to learn about Sri Lanka to arrange a trip or a tour with Nilan.
