Mount Kilimanjaro
You’ll be picked up in Moshi in the morning for a 1-hour drive to Kilimanjaro National Park’s Marangu Gate (1860m). After registration, your trek begins through the lush rainforest. Along the way, spot black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and various birds. Your English-speaking guide will share insights about the mountain’s plants and animals. You may also meet climbers descending from the summit, sharing stories that may inspire your own future climb. After a 3–4 hour hike, you’ll arrive at Mandara Hut (2700m) for lunch and a rest. A short walk (15 mins) leads to Maundi Crater, offering amazing views of Kilimanjaro, Northern Tanzania, and Kenya. You’ll then return to the gate (2–3 hours) where your driver will take you back to your hotel. Enjoy the sunset and reflect on the day’s adventure. • Altitude gain: 1860m to 2700m • Distance (one way): 8km • Hiking time: 3–4 hrs up, 2–3 hrs down (total 5–7 hrs) • Habitat: Mountain forest.

5.0010/10 Recommend!! We did the 1 day Kili hike to Mandara hut via the Marangu route and it was incredible! Joseph, our guide for the day, picked us up on time and took us to Kilimanjaro park, explaining the whole day and bits of history along the way. He was kind, interactive and patient. He rocked the 7 plus mile hike, teaching us the "Kilimanjaro song" to keep us engaged and motivated. When we wanted to hike a touch more for a crater view, he was on board. Overall, this was a great experience, we recommend this company and Joseph!! Also, the hike is GORGEOUS!! I was in awe of the rainforest the entire time.

5.00Our Kilimanjaro day hike was unforgettable. The trail was beautiful from the very start, with shifting landscapes and incredible views the higher we climbed. Sharing the experience with my friends made it even more special we encouraged each other, laughed a lot, and enjoyed every moment. Even though it was challenging at times, the sense of accomplishment at the end was totally worth it. A perfect adventure.
