5.00My wife and I booked the 1-day private speedboat tour to Komodo National Park and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day. Our guide Vian was absolutely fantastic. Vian was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and clearly loves what he does, which made for positive vibes and a great time! The day kicked off with the hike up Padar Island. It’s a bit of a climb, but every step is worth it — the view from the top is genuinely one of the most stunning things I’ve ever seen. Vian gave us plenty of time to soak it in and take photos before heading back down. From there we made a short stop at Pink Beach. Twenty minutes felt a little quick, but it was enough to wade in, appreciate the unique rosy-colored sand, and snap a few pictures. Just beautiful. The Komodo dragon visit was a real highlight. Having a local island guide walk us through their habitat made it feel authentic and safe. Getting up close to these prehistoric-looking creatures is something you simply don’t forget. We finished the day snorkeling at several locations where we saw manta rays right beneath us and spotted a few sea turtles. All in all, the tour was about 8 hours, which for us was perfect to see everything we wanted to in just one day. If you prefer a longer paced day, this might not be for you since the individual stops are a bit brief. Highly recommended!
