Komodo island is so underwhelming and commercialized. Everytime you see a youtube video of people visiting Komodo island the komodo dragon just so happens to be at the entrance of the park. So i made the mistake of booking this tour and of course the komodo dragon we saw was at the entrance to the park. I believe its a kept in a cage and brought out right before the tourists arrive to put on an illusion of a "wild komodo dragon" And then the "rangers" take us on a little kiddy walk for like 15 mins. We didn't even get to see any of the island. Huge scam and cash grab. The good part of the tour was the hike on Padar island. That was nice. Pink beach was nice, snorkeling with the manta rays and sea turtle was awesome!! Those activities made the tour worth it

Everything is well organized. The team is professional and nice. They take care of people. The program is dense but very varied which allows to see a lot of things and places...

Amazing trip! We may have just been incredibly lucky on this trip, but we saw six Komodo dragons, two sea turtles, and four manta rays! I was initially worried about the length of the trip but we weren’t gone that long. Picked up at 6:30 and dropped off around 5 pm which was perfect. The guides knew the best spots!

Snorkeling and Komodo Island. Great, helpful guides. Well organized. Last stop was to “chill”—could have skipped this stop and snorkeled at a better stop.

The tour was very disorganized and tried to cram too much into a day. The 6:00am pick up was late. When we arrived at the departure site no coffee, beverage, or food of any kind was provided. The boat was comfortable and in good condition but lacked full of people. The visit to Padar Island was perfect for time and Instagramable views. The Pink Beach seemed like filler but at least we could buy fried noodles and coffee. The visit to Komodo Island was great in that we saw several Komodo dragons, but we were not allowed any options (before arriving we were told we. Oils do one of two hikes as long as we were back in time for the departure). The next stop for snorkeling was 30 min and too short to be of value. The snorkeling at Manta Point was fine but also short (it would have been better to go straight from Komodo Island to Manta Point and have more time there) the final stop was long enough to relax and have a drink. When we returned to the departure point it was chaotic. No vehicles waited for us and it took more than 30 minutes to get the included transport back to the hotel. When I mentioned to my hotel proprietor the experience he called the tour company that said that since I used a third party (Viator) to purchase the tour I got less service than if I had paid directly. That excuse did not appear to be true given that others at my hotel did book directly and were treated the same. If I had it to do again I would book a private tour to Padar Island and Komodo Island with another company. If I were Viator I would question my relationship with an operator that gave my clients sub par service because my booking oortal was used. This tour gets three stars because I saw a lot of Komodo dragons. That is the only reason. If, as we were told when we set off, we might jot (and hadn’t) seen dragons, I’d give this 2 stars. Either way, I’d recommend using someone else.
