This is a one hour session where every participant has their own set of equipment throughout. There will be a maximum of 8 people taking part at a time (typically several smaller groups mixed together) and an experienced instructor will be with the group throughout. The session starts with lots of practice rounds (each round involves firing 3 arrows at the target) to ensure everyone is familiar with the equipment and techniques. The instructor will provide continuous coaching to ensure everyone is safe and is improving.
A final 9 arrow competition will decide who the overall winner is.
No previous experience is required making the session suitable for any level of ability from absolute novice upwards.
The activity is located at a large, well equipped activity centre offering toilets, refreshments, car parking (free) and shelters incase of poor weather.
All you need is clothing suitable for spending one hour outdoors.

A 1 hour session that includes an experienced archery instructor and full tuition on the art of using a recurve longbow. Each participant will be taught how to hold a bow, aim and shoot at an official competition size archery target using aluminium shafted arrows. A series of practice arrows will allow the basics to be mastered before the session moves on to a competition round (usually 9 arrows per person). Most people begin with no experience and can only just get an arrow on target – by the end of the session some impressive scores can be achieved!

4.00Went with 6 friends and we all really enjoyed it. The instructor stayed with us the whole session and keeps giving you tips to improve your technique. You might want to take gloves as pulling the bow hurts your fingers.

5.00Having never done this before, the instructions were spot on!!! My first arrow was a bulls-eye and them "Fame" went to my head lol!!! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable- I will be going back again to try another activity.

5.00My family went for my brother’s 30th. We had a great time. The instructor, Ben, was patient and had a great sense of humour, and dealt well with my Dad’s terrible jokes. The instructions were clear and the environment was relaxed but safe. I would definitely recommend and hopefully we’ll be back to try some of the other activities before long.

5.00We wanted to do something different for our son’s 16th. This is a fantastic place with so much choice. We opted for archery this time, which was great fun. Will definitely go back and try something else. A special thanks to Jeremy, who was a great teacher and made the experience very enjoyable.

5.00I did the archery and axe throwing and it was great, great fun. The facilities were excellent and the staff were very friendly and informative. The location and layout of the place is really good and well looked after, will definitely be planning another trip here.
