• A life changing safari experience

  Pamoja Tours exceeded expectations in every possible way. Regina was absolutely phenomenal in helping me organize our dream safari. We booked well in advance, and I must have sent Regina 40 emails leading up to our trip. She answered every one of them promptly, often within a couple of hours, and gave wonderfully detailed answers to every question I had. She went above and beyond to accommodate our every request. Words cannot express how great a job she did. I booked a private safari to Uganda for three people for two weeks and was able to customize every single day to ensure we were doing what we wanted and staying where we wanted. Upon arrival at the airport, we were greeted by our guide, Amos, and although it sounds cliché, he quite honestly became a friend during our stay. The next time I go back to Africa, I will send Amos a message first to ensure he is free on the dates we want to travel before booking with Pamoja Tours. He, too, exceeded all expectations. His knowledge and passion for the wildlife you will encounter on a safari are unmatched. His spotting skills are ridiculously good, and he makes you feel welcome and part of the family from day one. But best of all, it is his passion and love for nature that is simply contagious, and his stamina is unbelievable. He was constantly offering to go just a little bit further because another great spot was up ahead. At no point did we ever feel rushed or short on time. We only went back to the lodge when we had requested because Amos was always keen to see more wildlife. Our two weeks in Uganda were like nothing else. We saw every animal we went there to see, from Gorillas to Shoebills to Hyenas, Leopards, Lions, Chimps, Elephants, Giraffes, breathtaking waterfalls and more. Basically, you name it, we saw it. 
I cannot recommend Pamoja Tours enough. Regina will be with you every step of the way, ensuring your vacation is exactly how you want it. Once you arrive, I promise you will have the time of your life. Uganda is a beautiful country, the parks are not crowded, and the people are beyond friendly. 10/10 recommend. Just writing this review is already making me think about booking another trip. We came away with nothing but fond memories. Curtis.

  We did a 14-day Uganda Safari with Gorillas, Chimps and Wildlife Luxury Safari. Our itinerary was customized a bit from the original plan, and Pamoja Tours was very flexible in adapting it to exactly what we wanted. Regina at Pamoja was wonderful to work with during the planning process. She offered thoughtful advice and clear options as we worked through what we wanted to see and do, and the type of accommodations that best suited us. We invited another couple to join us, so there were four of us traveling together, which worked out beautifully. We were picked up at the airport by Amos, who was easily one of the best guides we’ve had across more than five African safari trips in seven different countries. Amos was with us for the entire journey and was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and well trained. Beyond that, he was attentive, calm, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience every single day. From a safety and logistics standpoint, everything was handled smoothly — vehicles were well maintained, driving was careful, park procedures were clearly explained, and we always felt safe, well informed, and well looked after. The itinerary covered a wonderful range of Uganda’s national parks and landscapes, each with its own character. We spent time in Murchison Falls National Park, where game drives and a boat cruise along the Nile gave us close-up views of elephants, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles, capped off by the dramatic sight of the Nile forcing its way through the narrow gorge at the falls. In Kibale Forest National Park, we experienced chimp trekking and chimp habituation, which was intense, fascinating, and incredibly rewarding. Watching the chimps up close in their natural environment was unforgettable. We also visited Queen Elizabeth National Park, where classic savanna game drives were paired with a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel. The density of wildlife along the water — hippos, buffalo, elephants, and countless birds — was remarkable. The journey concluded in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the highlight for us and the primary reason for the trip: mountain gorilla trekking. Our accommodations overall were wonderful. One one-night stay did not quite meet our expectations, but it had an incredible view that helped offset the shortcoming. Aside from that, the lodges were clean and comfortable, the food was consistently good, and the staff everywhere made us feel welcome and genuinely interested in our having a great stay. We experienced everything you hope for on a safari vacation — morning game drives, afternoon and evening drives, and even boat-based game viewing. Each park felt distinct, which kept the trip engaging from start to finish. The true highlights for us were seeing the chimpanzees and the gorillas. We did the chimp habituation first, and it was physically challenging (we are in our late 70s), to the point where we were unsure how we would manage the more demanding gorilla habituation trek. This is where Amos truly went above and beyond. He arranged what they affectionately call an “Ugandan helicopter” for my wife — a sturdy chair carried by porters using poles. It took a total of 16 porters to make the trek possible. The cost was very reasonable ($300 plus tip), and since seeing the gorillas was a primary reason for the trip, it was an absolutely perfect solution. One of our friends also had knee trouble on the steep terrain, and another “helicopter” was quickly arranged to assist him as well. Everyone involved was kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help us achieve what was truly a trip of a lifetime. We would highly recommend Pamoja Tours and Travel for this type of safari and would not hesitate to use them again for other destinations. • Love Uganda with Pamoja tours

  We did an around the country tour in Uganda with Pamoja tours. The majority of the hotels and lodges were top rate. Our guide, Amos, was amazing. We did the gorilla and the chimpanzee habituation, rhino trekking and the in the bush tracking for Lions and Leopards. You need permits for these, so talk to Pamoja about these items. If you have never gone on safari, Uganda is the place, from hot savanna to cool mountains. Trust in Pamoja. They are a top notch organization and spend the extra for the items listed above to guarantee a memorable adventure.

  Excellent, amazing , unic and interesting tour. Most of african wildlife can be seen-gorillas and chimpanzees are the high lights.very well planned and organized. Highly skilled and professional guide and driver. Mostly recommended.

  

• A Truly Life Changing Experience with Pamoja

  Please do yourself a favor and book Pamoja for your Uganda trip (and ask for Amos to be your guide)!! I don't think I can properly describe how amazing our trip to Uganda was. I am incredibly thankful to Pamoja (the wonderful Regina) for putting together such a fantastic itinerary for us. She and I emailed back and forth about 100 times (no joke) planning this trip. Regina kindly made so many recommendations, made several last minute adjustments and answered all of my questions. She truly put together the most perfect trip that I could have never done on my own. I am very grateful for her guidance in planning and her beautiful itinerary. But most of all, I can't be more grateful for our guide, Amos, who made our trip absolutely magical. Amos was so knowledgeable, so professional, he truly is an incredible human being. Literally every local and lodge that we encountered, everyone knew that we were with Amos and everyone spoke his name with reverence. He knew the name of every animal, bird, tree and bug, never once did he not have the answer to our questions (and there were A LOT of questions). His openness made me feel comfortable enough to just ask anything and everything I could think of without feeling awkward or self-conscious (having never been to Africa/Uganda, I had many questions about local life). His organization and time management was impeccable. We always knew the plan every day of where we were going, what we would be seeing, and he even arranged extra activities for us that we didn't originally plan on our itinerary (an extra boat ride and golden monkey trekking which were some of our most memorable moments). We always felt incredibly safe and that we knew we were in not just good hands, but the best hands. He was an excellent driver and maneuvered expertly through the streets, mountains and dense bush while off roading with the Carnivore project. He always had a cold water waiting for us in the morning and snacks ready for when we got hungry. His photography skills are insane and I will cherish his pictures that he shared with us forever. I will walk away from this trip with mind blowing memories of gorillas, chimpanzees, lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, shoebills, golden monkeys, countless other beautiful birds and beasts. But most of all, I will be walking away with the memories of the thoughtful, meaningful conversations over dinner with Amos. I was truly heartbroken to leave Uganda for it's beautiful landscape, food and hospitable people, but I was almost in tears not knowing the next time I will see Amos again. There are some people that just make an impact on your life and Amos will always be at the top of my list for those moments we shared. This trip has been the most incredible and life changing trip of my life and I can't thank Pamoja and Amos enough for that experience.

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Perfect 13 day safari!

  We are a Canadain couple from NW Ontario. This was going to be our trip of a lifetime. We researched for a couple months before we settle on Pamojatoursandtravel. It turned out to be the perfect choice for us. They made any changes in the itinerary we asked, and suggested a couple of things to enhance the trip. As soon as we landed in Entebbe Uganda,they took care of us every minute. We chose the budget trip. We wanted to close to the wildlife as possible, with the safari feel. All the lodges and camp were amazing. They were all very roomy, double beds and hot and cold water, with indoor bathrooms. Most had solar power so you could charge your electronics during the day. All but 2 had internet access. Most of the internet was pretty good. The food in all the lodges and camps was very good. Breakfast was any type of eggs you wanted. All had bacon sausage or ham. Many kinds of cereal, lots of fresh fruits. Coffee ,tea and many different fresh juices. Lunches were many different choices, and even a vegetarian dish for ever meal. Supper were also 3 or 4 course meals, more than enoughfor anyone. There was a choice of 3 or 4 different menu items. The dessert was the best we've had. You order your meals before hand and pick a time to eat all perfect for scheduling the days activities. The most important The animals! We seen all the big5 within the first 3 days. It was amazing. And so many of each it was unbelievable. We also got to see the shoebill,nile crocodile, chimpanzees, baboons many different species of monkeys,walk with giraffes. Our highlight was trekking with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi . It was an amazing day and we will never forget the family of gorillas we got to see. They are truly gentle and beautiful. The company we chose was Pamoja tours and travel. Sperito and Regina were fantastic. The took care of everything and made sure it was exactly the trip we wanted. The safari jeep was just perfect. It had everything we needed in it. Cooler with cold water, charging ports for electronics. It seated six and was very comfortable and roomy. The most important was our guide. Leticia! She was fantastic. She made sure we seen everything we wanted and time to enjoy it all. She took the time also to educate us on everything Ugandian. She really loves what she does and really loves her country and Ugandian people. Everyone was so nice to us and we felt very safe. We walked around all the markets and shops and never had any problems at all. We loved talking to all the people and especially the children. They would run to the side of the road and wave to us with the biggest smile. It was so amazing and heartwarming. Leticia made our trip perfect. We will always be grateful to her for being our guide, and now our friend. Pamoja tours and travel is the perfect choice for a great safari!! • Best wildlife experience

  We had a great vacation and an amazing wildlife experience, enabled by the team & logistics of Pamoja Tours & Travel. We had a 2 weeks memorable circuit across Uganda, always feeling safe, comfortable and respected, getting the best entertainment and the most interesting social & cultural immersion from our guide David K. David`s friendly and polite attitude, his patience and great driving skills, his knowledge about the wildlife and the local insights, represented a big plus during our journey. I fully recommend David & Pamoja for the best experiences in Uganda.

  Our trip to Uganda was amazing. Although we did not start our trip with this touring company, we did end our trip with them. They came to the rescue, because of several issues, including a lot of car problems, with our original touring company. This company came to the rescue and made the end of our trip so much better and made us feel safe. The guide knew also so much about the animals and the way of life in Uganda. Uganda as a country is also beautiful and has very kind people, but I would definitly recommend choosing your touring company wisefully and not make the same mistake as us in the beginning. Therefore, I would definitely choose Pamoja again if I ever visit east africa again!
