This is a short but adventure-packed excursion. Departing from Marrakech, you’ll travel over the stunning High Atlas Mountains and across the famous Tichka Pass to the Draa Valley in the south.
Enjoy breathtaking views from the mountain heights, with stops along the way to capture memorable photos of Berber villages and lush valleys. You'll also visit two of Morocco’s most iconic Berber fortresses — Ait Ben Haddou and Taourirt Kasbahs — and explore Ouarzazate’s famous film studios, where you can photograph real movie sets.

Translated from Berber Language to English as (The Pass of Tichka) It is located at the High Atlas Mountain range with an Altitude of (2260 m - 7414 ft) As a road it is considered the highest mountain pass in Morocco, or highest road point. It offers a stunning view over the north version with its Berber villages due to its location and height. We'll be stopping here to to take some panorama pictures in interested.
Ait Ben Haddou
Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah or (Berber Citadel/Fortress) where we will stop for lunch and then a guided visit of the Kasbah afterwards. It is so unique as it had become a UNESCO world heritage site since 1987, which makes it the only Kasbah that it is still in its origins. Lots of American popular movies had been shot here, like The Gladiator, Asterix Obelix, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, The Jewel of the Nile, The last temptation of Christ and many more.
Agdz
Agdz, also spelled Agdez, is located about 65 kilometers south of Ouarzazate, Agdz, which means in the Berber Language "resting place," is located along the old caravan route linking Marrakech to Timbuktu, and played an important role in the exchange of goods across the Sahara. It is also know for it's large amazing Palm Oasis.
Zagora
We reach our final destination of the first day, ride your camels for about 40min to get you to your camp site to enjoy a delicious dinner at your luxury camp together with Berber men playing music under the stars.

Draa Valley
In this morning just before we leave Zagora city, we will make sure to make an important stop at the Draa Valley palm grove, to admire the beauty of the largest Palm Oasis in Morocco and for taking pictures as well.
Taourirt Kasbah
Enjoy a guided visit of the Kasbah Taourirt, a true Berber labyrinth where it’s easy to lose your way without a guide. Kasbah Taourirt is a historic fortified residence complex, originally constructed in the 17th century by the Imzwarn, a powerful local family. In the 19th century, it was taken over and significantly expanded by the influential Glaoui family, who rose to dominate southern Morocco. Built from traditional mudbrick, the kasbah features intricate architecture, richly decorated rooms, and stunning views, offering a glimpse into Morocco’s aristocratic past.
You may stop for an optional visit to the Atlas Corporation Studios; First Film Studio located in North Africa, the site is spread over 20 hectares and offers all necessary services and equipment for productions: exterior and interior sets, production offices, workshops, stables with trained animals and accommodation in the Oscar Hotel. Perfect for business events or festive evenings, the studios is open daily for visitors that will discover Tibetan Temple, Egyptian palaces, Kasbahs and other unusual environments

5.00Private tour. Driver stopped wherever we liked on the way and skipped what we were not interested in (argon oil collective, rugs) if asked. Glamping was great. Arrived back at 7pm next day. Itinerary of kasbahs and Atlas studio worked for us. Driver arranged lunches and places were great.

5.00An exciting tour with a private Mercedes van with an excellent driver, Azdin. He was professional, courteous and prompt. He was very safe when driving and passing and he also politely managed the timing at our stops to insure we did not miss critical activities like sunset in the dessert. We added additional brief stops for coffee and pictures along the route to enjoy our custom adventure. The stop at Ait Ben Haddou was amazing. We had a good guide whose family had lived there for years and gave the backstory on the sights. The "glamping" in the luxury tent was awesome. The tent had a frame with cloth walls and plastic lining, 2 twin beds pushed together into a king size bed for my wife and I, a sofa and table, a dressing table with mirror and a full bathroom with running water. It was larger than the bedroom in the AirBnB we stayed in. We rode a camel to the camp at sunrise, setup in the tent, had tea and sang and danced around a fire before dinner, then played drums and looked at the amazingly clear sky at night. Morning had breakfast followed by sunrise atop a sandy ridge before a camel ride back to the car. An awesome dessert experience. The next day we returned home with a stop at Taouririte Kasbah was interesting, but much of the area was under renovation from the 2023 earthquake. It ended with our tour guide pushing a retail shop,. The Atlas studio tour was a lot of fun. The tour guide explained the sets and the movies filmed there and even made a one take video on an Egyptian set with a guests cell phone. We then returned safely to our lodging in Marrakesh. I would definitely recommend this option for a private and comfortable exploration of the unique sites of Quarzazate and Zagora.

5.00This tour was excellent. Mouaad from Comfort Tours was so helpful and king, making sure that we were OK with everything and giving advice following the earthquake. Yassine our driver was excellent. Rather than have lunch at the tourist restaurant he took us to a lovely place in the town. He really was great company and a very careful driver. The camp at Zagora was first class. The tents had all the facilities we needed, the beds were very comfy and the food was fantastic. Riding the camels was a great experience but my favourite was seeing the incredible stars. It is a long drive on windy roads but worth it

5.00We had an excellent trip to the Sahara Desert. Mouàad spoke exceptional English and was an outstanding driver—including a number of interesting stops and knowledgeable guides along the way. The desert camp was beautiful and incredibly comfortable (great beds and private full bathrooms!).

5.00My fiancée and I just returned from an amazing 2 day trip to the desert. From the moment we met Mouad (Mo), we knew we’d made the right choice. His professionalism cannot be undersold. The Mercedes luxury van was immaculate as was Mo and his constant care to check if we had everything we need and if he could be of assistance was faultless. We headed out to the desert, past the Khasba (amazing in itself ) to ride the camels to our glamping overnight stop. This was amazing and our guide was sensational. Sitting under the stars listening to the Berber music was a real experience. The next day, Mo collected us bright and early and we headed back to town via the most incredible road overlooking the oasis and the old villages. Mo knows where to go, what to see and where to stop ( food and breaks etc ). The whole experience was just perfect, thank you Mo! ( and for listening to our music 😊)

5.00We had a great tour with Moe. He spoke excellent English (along with several other languages) and is very knowledgeable about Moroccan culture and history. Now also provided us with some a good recommendations for a restaurant in Marrakech. The camel ride and overnight stay in the desert were very cool experiences. Our camel guide, Mohamed was very good too. Being a private tour, we had the flexibility of stopping when and where we wanted to. We travelled comfortably in a luxurious Mercedes van, and did not miss any of the interesting sites enroute. Overall, I would strongly recommend this tour group and give it a top rating.

5.00It was great to travel and see the country. It's a 300 plus km drive. So there was lot's to see and we would make stops when ever we felt like it. Mo has great energy and loves to be in the company of travellers.

5.00This private desert tour was an unforgettable family tour organized by this company and arranged by an amazing and friendly driver Yassine, who was the gel throughout the entire experience. Yassine was an educated driver and a family man, he was capable of handling our family which consists of 7 and drove us into the Berber world which we loved so much. It's been an extraordinary family adventure, we enjoyed every single moment, the night at the camp was amazing, the food and the camel ride everything was better than expected. Go for this tour, it is of high quality.
