Discover the Moroccan Sahara with an unusual overnight experience in the desert.
Departing from the village of Mhamid El Ghizlane, enjoy a 2-day and 1-night excursion to hike on the back of a camel, listen to the silence of the desert, admire a sunset, walk in the dunes, enjoy a traditional hammam and sleep under the stars. This 2-day excursion is also an opportunity to discover the Sahrawi nomadic culture.
Departures from Marrakech and Ouarzazate are also possible on request.

Departure from the village at 2 p.m. (flexible schedule on request). Arrival at the village of Mhamid El Ghizlane, we depart on the back of a camel (or on foot, as desired) along the Oued Drâa then the palm grove to reach the fixed bivouac "Desert Melody" located in the heart of a erg in the middle of the Sahara.

The evening is offered around the fire, with songs of the desert. The night takes place in a tent (hard) or under the stars, at your convenience.

After breakfast, departure on foot (or on the back of a camel) with a camel caravan for a hike in the heart of the dunes. It is already the Sahara, 100% escape, 100% nature. The opportunity also to discover what could be the old nomadic caravans. This short excursion invites a nice disconnection, accessible to all. Return to the village at 2 p.m. (flexible schedule on request)

5.00Desert melody we (two adults and two girls aged 14 and 23) accompanied throughout 4 days, from the exit of the airport to the return to Marrakech. The communication by email before with Karen very quickly put us in confidence. The road to the camp (8-9 am) is beautiful and takes place in a comfortable van. The welcome at the fixed bivouac and the 2-day trek delighted us. Melody of the desert has a very well managed organization that leaves all its room for authenticity. We appreciated the kindness and kindness of our Saharawi companions, Aziz’s delicious dishes, Abdou’s sandbread and the landscapes of this beautiful desert. Go with your eyes closed!

5.00I loved my desert trek. The organization was just perfect. The Saharawis who accompanied us were attentive and considerate. Excellent food. And what about sunsets in the moons, nights under the stars and vigils by the fire... This first experience in the desert was a success thanks to Melody of the Desert. I'm just looking forward to going back and doing a longer one.

5.00A great experience. A top and impressive organization. Beyond the teams who were very welcoming, the exchanges and complicity with the camels gave a special dimension to this adventure. They were also always attentive to our needs without being intrusive and even very discreet. The march was at a steady pace on the first day but without difficulty. Extraordinary landscapes.

5.00My son and I had a wonderful stay in the Moroccan desert. The landscapes were beautiful, a real enchantment. Tagines and sandbread a treat! Our guide and the camelmakers welcomed us with the simplicity and human warmth that we know to Moroccans. Evenings by the fireside with them warmed our hearts: we played, sang, communicated despite the language barrier. Thank you again for this incomparable experience!!

5.00Unforgettable family experience! The guides and camels were exceptionally versatile cooks / baker / guides the food was the best I ate during my entire trip to Morocco. I recommend 10000000% the desert is beautiful and the extraordinary people go!!!

5.00An experience out of time! It was magical, from the first night at the Desert Melodie camp to the last night in Erg Zahar, lost in the middle of the Sand Dunes contemplating the stars, eating delicious Couscous, chatting by the fire... Living his 2 days with a team of Bedouins was really great.
