Uganda Equator

Your guide will meet you early in the morning at your hotel for a scenic road transfer to Bwindi. The journey traverses Uganda’s rolling highlands, lush farmland, and traditional villages, with several stops to take in the landscapes and capture photographic opportunities. A lunch break is arranged en route. Key attractions along the route include the Equator Crossing at Kayabwe, a memorable stop for photography and engaging cultural demonstrations; the magnificent Kigezi Highlands, known for their sweeping vistas, mist-covered valleys, and beautifully terraced hillsides; and the peaceful tea plantations that blanket the rolling landscapes as you approach Bwindi, offering a calm and scenic transition into the region’s dense rainforest environment. Upon reaching your destination, you will be settled into your lodge for your overnight stay.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a pre-trek briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will be assigned to a habituated gorilla family based on your fitness level and interest. The trek can last from two to six hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, moving through dense rainforest, steep terrain, and rich wildlife habitats. Once the gorillas are located, you spend one unforgettable hour observing them as they interact, feed, and move within their natural environment. This close encounter offers exceptional photographic and emotional moments, often described as a life-changing experience. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the late evening.
