  Fabulous two days being guided by Derya. We were a mum and daughter team. Derya gave us an insight of history and culture and food and geography that we would never have gained by ourselves. It’s always so brilliant being with someone who knows a place so well: no time wasted getting lost (and even with a map app this is an easy place to get lost) but most importantly such knowledge so helpfully and clearly imparted. Thank you Derya: we learned so much and enjoyed our time with you so much.

  Derya and Furkan planned an amazing 3 day guided tour of Istanbul for us. It was both efficient and flexible making it a very pleasant walking experience. Derya’s cultural knowledge and her friendliness made this tour an exceptional, unforgettable experience, difficult to surpass. We are looking forward to repeat future visits with them as guides.

• Amazing Cultural Experience

  We did our tour with Furkan and had an absolutely amazing experience. Tried lots of local food and saw a whole bunch of the sights! We got to take a ferry across to the “Asia side” of Istanbul, technically hitting two continents in one day. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes food and is looking to really take in the Turkish culture! Be ready to walk. Five out of Five stars. Additionally, our tour guide continued to hang out with us after the tour ended, which was amazing. He and his wife took us to some local spots, shopping and sheesha and continued to give us a great experience for the short time we had available. We had a blast and would 100% take another tour with them!

  10 days in Istanbul. Dedicated just for Istanbul. Furkan sort out my itinerary, and Derya is my guide! Enjoyed myself very very much, i came with my brother to do shopping for his marriage gifts. We got our self better choices (with help of Derya & Furkan) Carpets, Koran, Dresses & Jackets. Derya & Furkan is very helpful, dependable, i felt more of family oriented rather than just a guide. I love every seconds spent with them!

• Two tours with family over Xmas holidays

  We are a family of four with two boys aged 9 and 12, traveling with a septagenarian grandmother. Furkan led us on two tours: Old City Walking Tour and Istanbul on Food. Both tours were exceptional and Furkan was a fabulous guide. In particular we were impressed by his ability to gracefully cater to the needs and interests of all members of the group throughout the two days, and to a predominantly non-meat eating group. Furkan maintained a positive energy and engagement during the two days and provided richly detailed narrative across a wide array of topics, while never being too prideful to consult the internet if something eluded him. He tactfully directed us to high quality vendors producing excellent goods, and he did so in a manner that was not pushy or overly directive. We look forward to spending more time with him the next time we are in Istanbul, a magical city with an astonishing cultural-historical depth and complexity.

• Foodie Fun

  Derya was our guide, and did we ever have fun. Just two of us, my friend Tom and me. I'm widowed and he's divorced, so we're traveling buddies. We have different tastes in food, but all our experiences were heavenly and enjoyed by all. Derya is a really nice and interesting person, and her husband, also a guide, complements her perfectly. If you book a tour with them you are sure to have a great time, and try to get to be with them both together for a while. They are great boosters for all things Istanbul and Turkish. If I get to go back for my third trip to Istanbul, I will book the rest of their tours for sure. Can't go wrong.

  

  

  

• Walking food tour

  Highly recommended way to experience different aspects and areas of Istanbul. Don't have a large meal before the start as the food you will experience is fantastic. The guide we had Furkan was great at explaining the different foods we tasted as well as giving background information about the areas we visited. Very different from the historical site tours, great fun and a really enjoyable day. If you are in Istanbul for a short period you should include this trip, you will not be disappointed.
