• Great Tour of Beautiful Ghana's Volta Region

  When I was planning my trip to visit Ghana for 10 days, I knew I wanted to experience the wonderful natural beauty of the country. After seeing Happy eagle had a 2-Day private tour to Mount Afadjato and Wli Waterfalls on Tripadvisor I jumped on the opportunity. I received several notifications from the owner, Bless as part of preparing for my trip. My sister and I started our trip from Nsawam which is 35 miles north of Accra. Happy eagle picked us up in a nice SUV. We drove through the Volta Region and Bless explained the different areas and their culture. We enjoyed the easy and lovely walk to Wli Falls. It was beautiful and my sister went swimming. That night we stayed at a comfortable hotel and ate a nice dinner. The owners of the hotel are lovely people The next day we hiked up Mt. Afadjato. It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed it very much. Bless is a knowledgeable and professional tour guide.

  The organiser made sure the trip was perfect one. There were no delays in their timing and also great activities organised for the tourists. Thumbs up to her 👍

  Was an exciting experience through the woods to the top of the mountain. The sereen ecology was refreshing. It's a must do again.

  We had such a great time! Both days were filled with amazing experiences. Nathan was very personable and knowledgeable. He taught us many things on our way there. Our first stop was Monkey Sanctuary. They were so friendly! We held bananas, and the monkeys would jump on our shoulders, and eat. Nearby we drove to our start of a short hike to the Wli waterfall. The view from the Lower falls was amazing. Some locals were there too having fun. They walked all the way so they were directly under the falls to take pictures! The hotel we stayed at after was very nice. Dinner was tasty. We loved the scenery, and when we were tired, we slept comfortably in an air conditioned room. The next day was Mount Afadjato. I was a little nervous, because I never climbed a mountain before, and I work a desk job at home. I’m moderately fit, but not super active. Thankfully, though challenging, it was doable. And it was very rewarding to make it to the top. We didn’t have hiking boots, but we brought walking sticks. I feel like they helped out a ton! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

  This 2 day trip was very memorable. Nathan our driver and tour guide was attentive and very knowledgeable. Starting with our journey from Accra to the Volta region he gave us the history and geography lessons along the way. He made sure we were comfortable.3 Tafi monkey sanctuary was surprisingly great. The monkeys were gentle and would just eat from your hands:) Wli water falls was beautiful.The views were amazing! Especially on Mount Afadja. We took so many pictures ,Climbing the mountain was incredibly hard but rewarding. I will recommend walking sticks for the climb up although not very helpful on the climb down.   I recently went on an unforgettable overnight tour of Afadjato, Wli, and the monkey sanctuary in Ghana's Volta region with Happy Eagle Tours. My guide, Nathan, proved to be an amazing fount of fascinating information about the places we visited, always ready to answer my many questions. Accompanying us was Bless, a wonderfully accommodating tour operator who ensured my comfort throughout the entire time we were on this tour.
