You will be picked up from your accommodation, and from there, set out to explore the countryside, heading towards the South Coast of Iceland.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall
The adventure begins when we pick you up in Reykjavík in a small and comfortable minibus before heading straight to the South. Our arrival is announced by the powerful theatrics of Seljalandsfoss. Bring a raincoat and you’ll be able to make the short hike behind the falls. The scene behind the fall and the trembling ground from the power of the falling water makes for an automatic Instagram blockbuster!
Skogafoss
Further east along the coast is Skógafoss waterfall. Skógafoss is an incredibly picturesque sight. Tucked in a little gorge, the river Skógá tumbles down a 60 meter cliff before continuing down the landscape towards the Atlantic Ocean. Alongside the gorge a staircase can take you to the shelf above the waterfall for stunning views. See if you can count your steps on your way up.
Reynisfjara Beach
Heading further east, we visit the black sand beach of Reynisfjara where the Atlantic coastline presents massive waves hitting the unique basalt columns in the cliffs above the sand. Rock pillars in the water and the cliffs of Dýrhólaey are seen in the distance. This area of the south is also a paradise for bird lovers, as puffins and dozens of other unique species nest on top of these cliffs in the summertime from June to August.
Solheimajokull Glacier
You will hike on a glacier and have fun! All the glacier gears are included, you just need to bring your hiking boots and waterproof clothes (available for rent in case needed)

Heading off on the second day, you’ll head to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, a 200m deep glacial lagoon fed by Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of Europe’s largest glacier. Enormous icebergs come from Breiðamerkurjökull all year round so the lagoon is usually filled with ice that floats south. Tröll Expeditions will give you the opportunity to join a boat ride among the icebergs during summer time and get a closer look of the millenary ice.
Fellsfjara
On the other side of the road the icebergs from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon float into the Atlantic Ocean where they are quickly thrown back to shore by the tide and winds. This black sand beach is full of smaller ice rocks in all shapes and sizes, sparkling like diamonds in the daylight. The ice itself comes in all shades of white and blue forming beautiful contrasts, guaranteed to make your Instagram account pop!
Reykjavik
You will be back to Reykjavik capital city at around 19.00. The drop off takes usually 15-30 minutes depending on the traffic.

5.00Just came back from the tour, all the staffs are very nice and friendly. I have to give a shout out to my tour guide Rocky, he is the best tour guide I ever met. During the journey he kept everyone happy and entertained. He also told us a lots different stories about Iceland and some history also. Definitely will book it again in the future and book a longer tour.

5.00We had an amazing trip and the highlight was definitely the hike on the glacier. Bran was an excellent guide. Got us to where we needed to and kept us all positive despite worrisome weather forecast. But we lucked out and didn’t get rained or snowed in during our glacier hike. Our glacier guide, Edgar, was also amazing and showed us unicorn ice! Would definitely recommend this tour and will come again!

5.00Highly recommend this tour for first comers to Iceland in winter: - Very nice tour guide+driver Haffi. He had taken good care of us all. Actively tried to make every guest feel comfortable and enjoy the trip. Very luckily we saw northern light on our first day when arrive at our hotel in south coast, though it only appears for a very short moment. Haffi helped keep an eye on the trace of northern light all the way till 2am, so all of us could rest comfortable lily in our rooms before the aurora shows up. He also brought us to a hidden waterfall inside the canyon, he got all soaked when helping us taking photos. - Experienced glacier hiking guide “biscuit”. We spent 4 hours on the hiking, it’s absolutely a worth-to-try experience. Biscuit keeps checking on everyone and reminding us of safety measures. When someone is falling behind or when I struggle with my equipment he reacts very fast to offer help. We happen to be the last group leaving the mountain, walking in dark on the ice is a so special experience. My top 1 unforgettable experience in Iceland. - Good bundle of activities and viewpoints. Was able to visit the black beach, a couple beautiful waterfalls and experience a 4 hr glacier hiking. As the weather is really unpredictable in Iceland in winter, driving can be quite dangerous, it would be more safe to join these tours hold by experienced tour guides. However, since it’s a packed tour, you may not have long enough time to stay longer for the places you favored. Normally the duration you can stay for each site is like 15 mins - 1hr depending on how big the place is. So I feel this these tours are really great for first comers to have a taste of Iceland. Then you could plan a more personal customized trip for next time.
