You will be picked up from your accommodation, and from there, set out to explore the countryside, heading towards the South Coast of Iceland.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall
The adventure begins when we pick you up in Reykjavík in a small and comfortable minibus before heading straight to the South. Our arrival is announced by the powerful theatrics of Seljalandsfoss. Bring a raincoat and you’ll be able to make the short hike behind the falls. The scene behind the fall and the trembling ground from the power of the falling water makes for an automatic Instagram blockbuster!
Skogafoss
Further east along the coast is Skógafoss waterfall. Skógafoss is an incredibly picturesque sight. Tucked in a little gorge, the river Skógá tumbles down a 60 meter cliff before continuing down the landscape towards the Atlantic Ocean. Alongside the gorge a staircase can take you to the shelf above the waterfall for stunning views. See if you can count your steps on your way up.
Reynisfjara Beach
Heading further east, we visit the black sand beach of Reynisfjara where the Atlantic coastline presents massive waves hitting the unique basalt columns in the cliffs above the sand. Rock pillars in the water and the cliffs of Dýrhólaey are seen in the distance. This area of the south is also a paradise for bird lovers, as puffins and dozens of other unique species nest on top of these cliffs in the summertime from June to August.
Solheimajokull Glacier
You will hike on a glacier and have fun! All the glacier gears are included, you just need to bring your hiking boots and waterproof clothes (available for rent in case needed)

Heading off on the second day, you’ll head to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, a 200m deep glacial lagoon fed by Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of Europe’s largest glacier. Enormous icebergs come from Breiðamerkurjökull all year round so the lagoon is usually filled with ice that floats south. Tröll Expeditions will give you the opportunity to join a boat ride among the icebergs during summer time and get a closer look of the millenary ice.
Fellsfjara
On the other side of the road the icebergs from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon float into the Atlantic Ocean where they are quickly thrown back to shore by the tide and winds. This black sand beach is full of smaller ice rocks in all shapes and sizes, sparkling like diamonds in the daylight. The ice itself comes in all shades of white and blue forming beautiful contrasts, guaranteed to make your Instagram account pop!
Reykjavik
You will be back to Reykjavik capital city at around 19.00. The drop off takes usually 15-30 minutes depending on the traffic.

5.00I cannot recommend using troll.is highly enough. My wife and I did the 2-day south coast tour and every aspect of the trip was excellent. We booked the small party tour and the vehicle was excellent (better wifi than I have at home!) and very comfortable. Brann, our guide, played a huge part in making the tour as enjoyable as possible. He was funny, entertaining, informative with a great knowledge of Iceland at its attractions and demonstrated a genuine care for his guests/clients. With such a diverse range of attractions it’s difficult to pick just one out. The waterfalls are amazing, the beaches and scenery is stunning, the glacier hike is a must do but our favourite has to be the boat ride in the glacier lagoon. Getting so close to the huge icebergs (either by the boat or on diamond beach) and seals was truly exceptional. On top of all of this the culture and people of Iceland are both chilled and friendly. The food was excellent (a kind of Scandi/Euro feel) but the arctic charr and local lamb dishes are highly recommended. Things do cost more in Iceland than most other countries but there are ways and means to control costs such as buying duty free on the way in and using local supermarkets but hey, you’re on holiday so treat yourself1

5.00Great experience to see the sites. Even though this is a bus trip we did lots of walking. Our guide, Palí was great, providing us some Icelandic humor. At the different stops he would provide some the significance plus some personal history from his visits. We loved the overnight stay hotel in Hrifunes.

5.00I would highly recommend our guide Max! He gave such interesting and informative introductions to Iceland throughout the trip, and his driving was incredibly steady and safe. We encountered a heavy snowstorm during our journey, but Max handled the situation perfectly. He kept reminding us of what to pay attention to and did his best to keep our schedule on track despite the difficult weather. The two-day tour was quite demanding, but Max filled the whole trip with laughter and good vibes. It was a wonderful experience, and we are extremely grateful to Max for everything!

5.00We joined this tour on 24th and 25th December, and I must say that our guide and driver Monica deserves a full five-star rating. It was a comfortable minibus carrying 19 passengers on a two-day tour. The bus was well heated and had plenty of charging points. Monica is incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive to every single person on the coach. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the journey. She also shared Iceland’s history and local stories in a fun and engaging way, and constantly interacted with us through conversations and jokes, creating a very warm and enjoyable atmosphere. She took us to a variety of beautiful attractions and scenic spots along the way. Although the weather on the first day was not ideal and it rained throughout the day, the entire journey remained cheerful, relaxed, and full of laughter, thanks to Monica’s positive attitude and excellent organisation. As the tour took place during the Christmas period, many restaurants were closed or operating with limited hours. Despite this, Monica went above and beyond to help us find suitable places for lunch, making every effort to ensure no one was left without a meal. This level of care and dedication truly stood out. Monica is genuinely sincere, passionate about her work, and delivers first-class service. She turned the tour into a truly memorable experience, and I would highly recommend her to anyone joining this tour.
