Mountain gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a habitat with a minimum of 400 mountain gorillas which is close to a half of the 880 numbers that are known to thrive in the world.
The gorilla destination of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is also a rich habitat for Afro-montane flora, counts of birds including the African broad-bill which is found in Ruhija and Congo, the forest animals like duikers and forest elephants. We will pick you from Musanze town, after breakfast drive to the northern Rwanda for a visit of the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Enjoy a sumptuous lake fish lunch here and head to the view point where you will be able to see the two lakes and the entire beautiful scenery of the Five Volcanic Mountains stretching all the way to Congo DRC borders. The three Countries: - Rwanda, Uganda and Congo DRC meet at the tip of the Sabyinyo peak. Take nice" photos and continue on to Cyanika border and cross over to Uganda. Drive through Kisoro town and head to Bwindi for dinner and overnight at
Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo
visit of the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Enjoy a sumptuous lake fish lunch here and head to the view point where you will be able to see the two lakes and the entire beautiful scenery

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast, walk to the park headquarters for briefing on the do's and don’ts during gorilla tracking and thereafter you will proceed to the gorilla trail. Gorilla tracking normally lasts between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. However, you will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch, which will be provided, as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. Later we head to another border this time Katuna border to cross to Rwanda, and head back to Kigali Airport to catch you’ departure flight back home.

5.00Frena was a reliable, and good company to work with. There were no hidden charges - they did all the bookings and the properties they booked were good (I booked the moderate package and felt that things were mostly upto standard with that). My guide was Kendrick - he was really helpful, friendly and punctual. As a solo female traveler, safety was my main concern and I felt that Frena and Kendrick did a great job of ensuring that. I did the Bwindi Gorillas tour and the golden monkeys tour at Volcanoes national park. I would suggest doing the monkeys first and then building upto the gorilla experience. My only complaint was that I was given all the details rather last minute and I was quite anxious because of that (this might be just me because of my solo travel needs)- but if you love a hands off approach then this might be a perfect company for you.

5.00We booked a 2day golden monkey and Bwindi gorilla trek with Frena adventures - with our driver/guide Farouk. He did well on getting us to our activities on time given that we were always behind schedule. The van was very comfortable - i guess as comfortable as you can get while going through the African massage after you cross the border to Uganda. The four gorillas lodge where we stayed had great staff and amaziiiiing views! Very relaxing before our trek for second day. Farouk our guide provided us with snacks and water, also face mask for our trek. So we didn’t have to buy them. He was very helpful, accommodating and very organised. Thank you we had a great 2day adventure!😊
