Haenyeo Museum

Pass By: In case of closing of Manjanggul Lava Tube (the first Wednesday of every month) Jeju Haenyeo Museum will be alternative tour course“Haenyeo”. This is the word to refer those female divers who works especially under the sea in Korea. They gather seaweed, abalone, octopus, clams, sea urchin and other sea products. This word has meaning something special melting in their life beyond description itself as just a kind of job. In recent time, we are able to see them in Jeju Island only, far away one hour by airplane from the capital Seoul in Korea.

Seongsan Ilchulbong

Stop At: Including Women Diver Show Seongsan Ilchulbong, also called ‘Sunrise Peak’, is an archetypal tuff cone formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions upon a shallow seabed about 5 thousand years ago. Situated on the eastern seaboard of Jeju Island and said to resemble a gigantic ancient castle, this tuff cone is 182 meters high, has a preserved bowl-like crater and also displays diverse inner structures resulting from the sea cliff. Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Seopjikoji

Pass by: Seopjikoji is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju Island and boasts a fantastic scenery especially in April when yellow canola flowers are in full bloom. "Seopji" is the old name for the area, and "Koji" is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land. Seopjikoji can be replaced with Sangumburi on October and November. Duration: 1 hour

Seongeup Folk Village

Stop At: This traditional village on Jeju Island has been preserved as it was in olden days with impressive piles of stones designed to protect roofs from the wind. The buildings have been designated important folk relics because these castles and homes that were built to prevent a Japanese invasion have remained intact the Joseon Dynasty. Duration: 40 minutes

The total length of Manjanggul Lava Tube is about 7.4km. It is a lava tube that is partially multilayered. The main tunnel’s width is 18m and its height is 23m. It is one of the largest lava tubes in the world. There are many lava tubes in the world, but Manjanggul Lava Tube has a significant meaning in that it was formed thousands of years ago, and it is very well preserved. Therefore, it is very valuable to researchers and scientists. Due to the sinking of the ceiling, there are 3 entrances. The one that tourists can use is the second entrance and they are only allowed to go as far as 1km into it. There are various cave formations in Lava Tunnel in Manjanggul Lava Tube, such as stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones, lava tubes, lava shelves, and lava rafts. In particular, the lava column that is located at the end of the tourist area is about 7.6m high and is known as the highest lava column in the world.

Hallim Park

Stop At: Hallim Park is a well-known tourist attraction in Jeju and holds monthly flower-related events. One of the highlights during the spring season will be the Hallim Park Tulip festival whereby there will be various species of tulips, such as Apeldoorn, Shirley, Kees Nelis, Barcelona, Pink Diamond and more. Besides, you can also taste bibimbap decorated with the colourful tulips. Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Hyeopjae Beach is located about 32 kilometers west of downtown Jeju and is near Hallim Park. The white sandy beach mixed with crushed seashells, Biyangdo Island appearing to float on the cobalt seat, and the lush pine forest all combine to create an outstanding scene. The beach stretches roughly 200 meters and is 60 meters wide with a shallow depth of 1.2 meters, making the beach perfect for family visitors. The beach also has many amenities, including a campground in the pine forest, changing stalls, shower booths, restrooms, drinking fountains, and more. Restaurants offer delicious dishes using freshly caught seafood like jeonbok (abalone) and sora (horned turban).

O’sulloc Tea Museum

Stop At: The Osulloc Tea Museum, located on Jeju Island opened in 2001 is Korea's first tea museum. In 2013, Osulloc Tea Stone was built next to the museum offering visitors with various tea experience and cultural activity programs. Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Yongmeori Coast is a volcanic beach made of ash emitted during violent explosions occurring when hot magna coming from underground met the cold seawater. Going down the narrow path to the beach, you can also see a sandstone cliff. Its name, Yongmeori (it literally means a dragon’s head) comes from its resemblance to a dragon appearing ready to plunge deep into the sea. Sanbangsan Mountain

Stop At: Sanbangsan, rising to a height of 395 meters is a typical dome-shaped, craterless volcano. Its name, Sanbang, originates from a natural stone cave formed in the middle of the mountain. Inside the cave, called Sanbanggulsa Temple, there is a statue of the Buddha. According to a legend, water drops from the cave ceiling are the tears of love shed by the goddess who protects Sanbangsan’s stone walls. Duration: 30 minutes

Cheonjeyeon Falls

Pass by: Cheonjeyeon Falls, named "The Pond of God," consists of 3 sections. Around the falls, a variety of plant life thrives, such as the rare ‘solimnan’ reeds. To the east, there is a cave where cold water pours from the ceiling to create the first waterfall. The water gathers into a pool and from there, falls two more times, creating the second and third waterfalls, which then flow into the sea. Duration: 1 hour
